Where's Paul been lately?

So itโs looking more and more like weโll never see a clean shaven Paul again. Last time was 2020 during McCartney III interviews. The scruffy 3-5 days without shaving look appears here to stay Miss the classic Paul look, the scruffy stubble thing gives a disheveled unkempt look and makes him appear even older.

Paul's choice to not shave could be a vegan one. (see below)... but there are vegan soap and shaving products from retailers such as kissmyface.com if he chooses to go back to a clean shaven look. I may be in the minority, but don't think the scruffy look is that terrible, as long as he's healthy and happy and enjoying life.
Quote below is from https://www.clearconfidence.co/vegan-shaving/ which may give reasons (from Paul's point of view) why he chooses not to shave.
The Problems with Traditional Shaving Products
Shaving is a daily ritual for many people, but have you ever stopped to think about the products youโre using and how they impact the world around you? Traditional shaving products often contain animal-derived ingredients and contribute to plastic waste, but the good news is that there are sustainable and ethical alternatives available for those looking to make a change.One of the biggest problems with traditional shaving products is the use of animal-derived ingredients. Shaving creams, gels, and foams often contain ingredients like lanolin, glycerin, and stearic acid, which are derived from animals. These ingredients are often obtained through processes that involve animal exploitation and cruelty, making them incompatible with a vegan lifestyle.

I agree too.

Cmon Leslie, you are just making excuses for him -lol. Once again, I have no problem with him having a beard, just shape it. Check out pictures of George Clooney with a beard, that is the way to do it. Go to the link https://vegan.com/beauty/shaving/. It would give Paul all the tips he would need to stay vegan with not only gel/cream but type of razors, shaving brushes and even electric razor.

The thing is, Paul is actually shaving but obviously only every few days or perhaps once a week, otherwise he would have a full beard. Hence the perpetual scruffy unshaven look That look was popular around 1985 per Miami Vice, only thing missing is the white linen suit, aqua t shirt, no socks and a partner named Tubbs. Clean shaven as he was for the past 50 years or so makes him look way healthier and younger IMO.

@yankeefan2 I really don't mind the scruff, just was thinking why he might like having it. What could some reasons be, that would make sense? Could be there is no other reason, he just likes having it. But thanks for the link. If Paul is keeping the scruff for vegan related, environmental or ecological reasons maybe he will see your post and realize he has options (if he does happen to visit here and read these posts without us knowing...)

The Miami Vice "look" worked for two young guys who were probably in their 30's, not exactly sure how old they were at the time. It is not a good look when you are in your 80's . Like I said, shape/trim it so it actually looks like a beard and not like you forgot to shave for a week or more. I agree that being clean shaven would make him look younger. The ladies on this board may disagree but I thought he looked great (he was around 60 years old) during the "Driving Rain" tour with short hair and clean shaven.

@ladyleslie I don't mind the scruff either.

@paulfan11 seriously...

I LOVE Paul's bearded look. Loved it in the day, and I love it now. I must be in the minority, because I actually think men look younger with the beard as they (we) get older... Happy for him to let it go!
-
@toris Agree with you 100% - have always liked Paul's 1969 beard and if he chooses to have a 2024 semi-beard that's ok too.

@purple51 thank you
