So are you guys who are coming from abroad making a mini-holiday to Liverpool out of the show or are you just coming for the gig and leaving the next day?
Should get there Wednesday morning. Taking the train from the airport in Manchester. Flying out Saturday morning. Show #24
Nice!!! Do you find that your experience of Paul gigs nowadays is more or less enjoyable than it was at the start or has it remained the same?

Spent the past hour and a half refreshing both Echo Arena website and Ticketmaster to no avail only to randomly get a fantastic ticket in section B out of nowhere just there. Absolutely over the moon, can't believe it happened. To those of you who didn't get one, please keep trying!! Don't give up yet
From which site, may I ask?
I'm really sorry, I never saw this at the time. It was the Echo Arena website, although I know that's not much use now.
-
Thanks for your advice this morning. I'd almost given up hope of getting a seat in A, B, or C. I kept at it and got a seat in B. Very happy! Got a hotel. Very, very happy. Got a swap shift at work. Flying high.

Aw, I'm delighted to hear that! You're very welcome! I've found in general that it's always good to keep refreshing even an hour or so after a sale begins because tickets often just randomly come free for a number of reasons, like someone letting go of their tickets or a payment not going through properly. I hope you enjoy the show very much, it's sure to be a great one

Got tickets this morning! Very happy after the train wreck of the presale. They're not right up front, but the Echo isn't too big so it'll still be great! So excited to go! It's my first Paul gig, I've only ever heard the cds like Good Evening New York City. What is it like to actually be there?

Definitely more enjoyable, can afford the better seats and I get to travel and see places I probably wouldn't have gotten to see otherwise. Also nice seeing friends that understand your concert addiction.

I'll be in Liverpool from May 27 to 30. I've just found out that a band called Maroon 5 will do a concert at the Echo Arena on May 29, but I only know a couple of their old songs. Has anyone here ever been to one of their concerts? Is it worth going, since I'll still be in town anyway?

This will be my second time seeing him,try not to sit with your mouth open to much when he comes on i know i did for a good few moments ,sit back and enjoy it there simply isnt anything better than seeing him live, yes you've heard the stories, yes you know the songs but its that "something" that all great performers have and Paul has it in bucket fulls.

In my experience when I buy through the PM.com pre-sale (which is run by Crowdsurge) they don't offer a "will call" option and they send tickets from the UK close to the concert date (7-10 days). The "will call" and print at home option has always been available to me when I buy through the venue or Ticketmaster. Since Amsterdam is general admission, I'm gonna skip the PM.com presale and wait to buy from ticketmaster or Ziggo Dome directly - since it seems they both do will call option or print at home. Anyone have experience with Ziggo Dome shows or know Dutch that can help finding out if "will call" would be available before showtime - possibly a day before the show? Edit: Oops, just saw nobodytoldme suggesting the same solution. As much as I like the actual tickets versus print at home - sometimes that's the only way to go

That sounds reasonable. With seated gigs I wouldn't worry too much about box office pickup anyway.
Absolutely. I'm concerned about Amsterdam, which is general audience. If I'm not allowed to get my ticket before the doors have opened, I will be one of the last people to enter the venue and I will be at the back of the floor. That's why I'm thinking of buying a reserved seat, even though it's not on the floor. However, if they offer the option to print the ticket at home, no problem. But what about Paris: general audience or reserved seats on the floor? I'll ask about in the Paris thread.

if you get chance on take the magical mystery tour the bus leaves from just outside the Beatles experience on the dock it's about £15 and it tours all the Beatles places of intrest Penny Lane, the church grounds where paul met John, strawberry fields, the houses and much more ( don't bother with the Beatles experience the place is dated and a bit lame )

I recommend the Beatles taxi tour. Takes you more places then the magical mystery bus and gives you more time to get out and look around. Much smaller group as well as its only 5 or less people. We actually ended up being able to go inside St Peter's hall as well, something you can't do on the mystery tour.

Yes, The Beatles Fab Four Taxi Tour, another vote from me as well. Way more bang for the buck. The Magical Mystery Tour rushes you around a few hotspots in like 2 hours, not being able to get out at most places of interest. With the taxi tour mentioned you can go anywhere and get out everywhere you want. The National Trust Tour (Mendips and Forthlin Road) is a must as well. #1 on the list. Book early!

I have taken the Magical Mystery Tour bus and the National Trust Tour, but not the Beatles Fab Four Taxi Tour. How many people would be in that group, and how much would it cost? Perhaps I could share that taxi tour with some of you folks on May 29, in case anyone is interested.
