I'm really not going to get too excited over Ram beacsue I'll only end up disappointed. I know what I'd like to see released.....a triple cd: CD1 Ram remastered (stereo mix) + unreleased tracks. CD2 Ram remastered (mono mix) + alternate takes. CD3 Ram demos complete (Scotland 1970) What will probably be released though is a double cd of a remastered Ram (stereo),Another day, Oh Woman Oh Why, a couple of unreleased tracks and the Thrillington lp.

Too me the Deluxe editions have been quite poor so far, so I'm hopeful that maybe there has been more time an effort put into Ram. I REALLY REALLY hope Ram remastered in Mono happens.

PLEASE let this reissue happen just the way you've described. I'd also like the Percy Thrillington version thrown in, too. Here's my mini take on the deluxe reissues so far: 1. Band on the Run: Nice book, disappointing extras. 2. McCartney: Fantastic photos in the book, disappointing extras. 3. McCartney II: Fantastic photos in the book, great extras. This one has been the best so far (tho it could have been even better, I suppose). And if the Ram deluxe reissue doesn't live up to my expectations, at least it will give me something to complain about on the boards for months to come.

I would hope for Thrillington too along with unreleased tracks. This is also a real chance to show the world how wrong they got Ram first time round, I mean this album is just rediculously good. How different the songs are, his vocal range is phenomonal. I thought tat Ram was due a while back which makes me hope that he is really taking his time with it to deliver a fantastic deluxe edition. He must surely know how high his fans hold this album.

McCartney II had every little thing there is to release from those sessions. Nothing to be dissapointed of.

Why do you want a mono mix. Was it very much different?
-
I can in all honesty say I forgot about the remasters. I've already spent my savings for the Archive Collection on other things. What does that tell you Paul
-
Does anyone else think that Paul should have released Ram BEFORE McCartney and McCartney II as it is stronger than those albums and would have built some momentum? As it is, I feel as though that double-release took attention away from both albums and dampened the impact of the Archive project. After Band on the Run and Ram though, I'm not sure which is the next strongest album. Perhaps Venus and Mars or Tug of War?
-
and I think he should put more songs from all of these albums in his current setlist. It would be a great promotional gig!
-
I'm honestly surprised he hasn't done songs from the re-released solo albums. BOTR gets a great chunk of setlist time, but why not the McCartney albums? I'm hoping Ram gets a better treatment in the upcoming shows that the other two re-releases did...

Not 'very much' but sufficiently different and from what I've heard, better sounding (it sounds more punchy) so worthy of a cd release. I'd take the mono album over the Thrillington album anyway.

Nothing particularly breaking, but I email MPL about when RAM would be released, if at all, and I did receive a reply.
Hi Collin, RAM will be the next remastered release, however, there?s no set date yet for release. We believe it will be available sometime in the 2nd quarter of this year. Make sure you are on the Paulmccartney.com email list for the latest information. All the best, Dan Sokol MPL

^^So I'm guessing the second corner is anywhere from April to June?

Sounds right to me!

Sources say May for Ram. Also a tweet from Concord said to look out for an official announcement in the next couple of weeks.
-
I hope he really goes to town with the deluxe version of Ram. Time to finally get the plaudits it deserves. A complete Masterpiece.
-
Woo! That would make sense too...Remaster and Rerelease Ram...then, tour South America with a minty fresh setlist of songs from Ram! As Jen mentioned earlier, I hope he does a better job of honoring this remaster. BOTR got 5 spots in the set when it was remastered....McCartney got 1...and mccartney II had one...for like four gigs.

Screw that Well if theres an annoucement in the next week or two bring them into the Europe gigs!

Thanks for all the good news on Ram, I had about giving up on it coming out. Since it originally came out in May 1971, a May release this year is only appropriate. Hard to believe it will have been 41 years!

I am really happy about this also, in an interview with Denny Seiwell he mentioned the Ram remaster, saying to look out for the track Rode All Night as a bonus track.
