I want to hear "Holly Days" and the "McGear" album, and Linda's "Wild Prairie" album!! Especially those first two !!!
-
-
Thanks. I've seen "Wide Prairie' for sale on ebay before, I just remembered. I've heard some tracks from it like "Mr. Sandman" on youtube. I read that Paul sings a lot on "Holly Days" otherwise I wouldn't want it, if it's mainly sung by Denny Laine.

If we get a 'Memory Almost Full' set in a few years, they could include the Live in Los Angeles album from the newspaper then a few of the songs we didn't get there. Here in America we only got 4 songs, and I know there was still more that is unreleased.
What's the 'live in Los Angeles' album...a newspaper give-away???? I did get a free CD from Best Buy at some point shortly after the Off The Ground era which featured an 'Oobu Jobuu' episode which included mostly soundcheck/live versions of songs from the associated tour (although if memory serves me correct, the song Wildlife was also included - I'll have to pull it out and check tonight) Btw, that was one frustrating set in that the entire CD was considered one track and thus, if you wanted to hunt around for specific songs, you had to use the fast forward/backward buttons on your CD player

I'd love to somehow (legally) get the track I want you to fly without paying £10 or more for the single track. How soon will I be able to get it? Not for 3 or 4 years? I don't quite get it. It's not like MPL get money by people forking out silly prices for second-hand CD singles, is it? Why not make tracks like this (or Tropic Island Hum, for instance?) available for download (or in some other way)?

Hopefully Ram around October then maybe for the Christmas market we can get V&M, At the Speed of Sound, and WOA?
The 'coming soon' promo inserts in the McCartney / McCartney II deluxe editions have the next batch of releases as Venus and Mars,Speed of Sound, Wings Over America & Ram....in that order or release. I guess they can switch the schedule if they wish but so far every album has come out as originally planned. I'm expecting Venus & Speed to come out together first, perhaps around October with Wings over America & Ram together early in the new year.
-
I was thinking Ram, Venus and Mars, and Speed of Sound would all come out together in like October-ish. And then since Wings Over America is gonna be a bigger set, it could come out on its own in December.
-
They havn't released three album deluxe sets simultaneously so far although its a possibility i guess. They might be concerned though about criticism from fans who intend to buy all the deluxe sets that buying three albums in one hit is too expensive.

I was hoping they would make them cheaper The first remaster release was only one album- Band on The Run with Deluxe Edition at $90 Second wave- McCartney and McCartney II at $60 The third wave should be three releases at $30!
-
Pre-Order all 3 for $90 I'm down with that. But I was thinking Ram would get it's own release then put the other 3 together since they tie in with each other.

Well think about how many discs they could potentially have. I doubt Ram has a lot of bonus stuff, so probably 2 CD's and 1 DVD. Venus and Mars could easily scrape 3 CD's and 1 DVD as could Speed of Sound. WOA is probably the same and with any luck the DVD will be ROCKSHOW! So, Ram probably will be put out on its on, if my disc number predictions are correct. And the 3 "bigger" (in quantity ) releases will be together.

I've had the impression for some time now that all the decent rarities from these album sessions have been hived off for the 'rarity box sets' and its only the odds and ends that havn't been used that are being used as fillers on these remastered 'deluxe sets'. So i'm not expecting anything earth shattering from the bonus material for Ram, Venus and Mars etc.

Considering how exhaustive the McCartney II set was, I tend to disagree with you here.

I don't get why everyone assumes that what the graphic designer decided looked most pleasing on a paper insert advertisement is the gospel word on release order. If you check the insert that came with Band On the Run, Ram came right after McC I&II, but on the new inserts, it's last. Nowhere on the inserts anywhere does it say "This is the order of the next releases." It just says "Coming soon" and gives you several pictures of album covers.

I just wish we would get some info soon on the next remaster

Good point - we assume (because of the visuals) that these inserts are advertising what's coming next when in fact it just may be a generalized advertisement of the entire project. If that were true, the confusion would be in the comments 'coming soon' depicted along with specific album photos, to which I would not blame anyone for being confused by this.
