Tuning in to check, ADITL again. Not going into the iconic climax but instead into the pedestrian 'Give Peace A Chance' must be the most tragic example of blue balls in rock and roll live history.
I don't enjoy "Give Peace a Chance" at all.

The crowd absolutely ate it up last night, as they always do. I think it works very well BUT, everyone would be equally content hearing "A Day in The Life" in its entirety...but the recorded ending is just too big to use and still stick it in the middle of the set. That gigantic E Chord needs to end the show, if it's going to be played.
-
Yeah, it would be great to hear the entire A day in the life rendition for once, but now more than ever hearing give peace a chance creates a great feeling

Ob-la-di..." is always a crowd-pleaser, and I always smile, remembering how the other Beatles hated it and made fun of it!

I just saw a tweet by someone who said they were walking past the back door of the Garden, the door opened, an employee asked, "Hey! Do you guys like Paul McCartney?" They said sure, and were handed 3 tickets and told to hurry up and run to the front, as he was on stage. They got 10th row seats!

Does anyone know how to shut off the music from Paul's website so I can here the concert on Periscope? Thanks.
-
Someone posted a photo of Bruce in the audience singing along to "Hey Jude."

Oh my goodness, Day Tripper.... love this! Was dancing like a Beatle fan girl!
-
Yep...Paul's bringing back like every song he has swapped out since getting back on the road in '09. Nothing wrong with that, but I bet it's his way of making sure the press say he never played the same show twice, when this NY run is all said and done.
-
Thanks, wish I would have asked sooner.
-
Looks like that's a wrap! Another job well done, of course! Congrats to all who were blessed to be there! I'm shocked Billy Joel didn't pop-up for either show...but, correct me if I'm wrong, weren't the dates for Paul's Detroit shows originally 9/30 & 10/1...but then moved to 10/1 & 10/2? I bet Billy pops up at the last NYC show on 9/27 at the coliseum...and then Paul pops up at Billy's monthly garden gig on 9/30.

decent setlist, but there are some Beatles tracks he could add, easily- I'll Get You > Can't Buy Me Love Penny Lane > Got to Get You Into MY Life For No One, Fixing A Hole or HT&E in the first piano set I'm Looking Through You > We Can Work It Out Your Mother Should Know > I Wanna Be Your Man Lovely Rita > FourFiveSeconds Till There Was You somewhere in the mix Another Girl > Helter Skelter some of the US Tour gems deserve a comeback! Even some out there ones too! MMT would be fun to have as an opener again, always a killer choice. I never really felt Eight Days A Week on Out There.

I'd be down with a lot of that. I have zero interest in "Till There Was You". I honestly wouldn't mind a return of MMT, even though it has been played quite a bit...BUT, my prime pick for opener would be "Hello Goodbye" as I still haven't heard it live.

If I could see him sing Til There Was You, I could die the next day a VERY happy woman. One of the songs that made me love Paul 53 years ago.
