PAULIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE DID IT AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE CREDITED THE LENNON/McCARTNEY SONGS AS McCARTNEY/LENNON!!!!!! NOW WHAT THE HEY!!!!!! COME ON!!! DON'T WORRY! "YESTERDAY" IS CREDIT AS McCARTNEY/LENNON! One nice thing, Paul dedicated the box set to Linda and Jimmy McCulloch.
HOLD THE PHONE!!!! HOLD THE PHONE!!!! He did that on the original release back in 1976. When John Lennon was alive. False alarm! Everybody go home. :

OH FOR GOD'S SAKE. My deluxe set package arrived at work today -- AFTER I had to leave to pick up my kid. It's now sitting in the mail room!!!! First world problem. I'm hearing such good things about it, though, I think it'll be worth the wait.

WTF does Rolling Stone Magazine have against Paul? Seriously, it's like a never ending grudge! WOA: 3.5 stars (seriously, wtf?) Wings Over America was Paul McCartney?s bold arena-rock (as opposed to pop) move of the 1970s ? a triple-disc live set, complete with vocal showcases for the backup guys. It was also the first time he remade Beatles oldies ? ?Blackbird? and ?Bluebird? fit together well. There?s something daft and touching about how McCartney strives for band democracy: Whenever Denny Laine sings lead, you can almost hear the fans stampede for their bathroom weed break. Now reissued with a variety of bonus goodies, Wings Over America is a time capsule from a neglected phase of the Macca saga ? an artifact for Seventies stoners who thought Wings were heavier than the Beatles. I bet if Lennon's people re-released that awful New York concert they'd cream their knickers over it!

Picked up the Best Buy exclusive which includes the third audio CD from the Box Set, Wings Over San Francisco. Mainly because I was at that concert. The remastering sounds FANTASTIC! Especially enjoying Paul on the Rickenbacker bass. It's a Rockshow indeed!

On Lennon's defense, I have to remind you that after checking the audio of the concert, John decided to shelve it and it was in 1986 that Yoko released it.

For those of you that are on a tight budget, do what I did today and buy the newly remastered 2CD Windows Over America for just $14.99. As mentioned, this Best Buy edition even throws in the 3rd CD live Cow Palace performance (featuring several of the songs) that is part of the Deluxe Edition. I heard Side one in the car today plus the 1st 2 songs from Side 2 and it sounds fantastic. Every track sounded so good to my ears. Can't wait to hear the rest of Side 2. This is a remaster job that is so much better than the original and definitely worth the price. At $14.99, you can't get a better value. It will be interesting to see how well Wings Over America (CD edition) sells. If word gets out about how good a live performance this is, the sales could be quite impressive especially for a remastered original. Hopefully a whole new generation of people born after 1976 will get into it. Wings Over America is easily one of the best "Live Rock/Pop Albums" of all time.

I know it's early, but did it come with a card to say which albums are in line next? I really hope it's venus & mars, or at the speed of sound, or even red rose speedway.
