Hi Again Ci! Few more questions.. Did you hear sound check as you awaited outside? If so what? And did you take pictures? Were cameras allowed? Thank you for sharing all you have.. I understand it all seemed surreal as you lived it.. and now.. Bet you have more thoughts as you continue to process..
The sound check was done the night before; a fellow without a ticked was queuing since 11pm and heard a bit of it. Paul literally arrived some time after 12:30 and started the show soon after that. Oh cameras were definitely allowed. I myself did not take pictures as I did not think they would be. Plenty of people did however and some were even video-taping what seemed to be the whole thing. Hopefully, they'll make their way to the internets somehow; I would love to see them. There seemed to be lots of Tv footage as well, so watch your local news. Heh, I might be processing this one for years...

What a brilliant experience you guys must have had! And it's strange reading this as I'm not jealous, just really happy that fans have had the chance to have this experience - really happy for you. By coincidence, I got a text from someone I was at school with who was telling me that he was on the police team for this. Small world!

OohYou:
STROKED HANDS???!?!?!??! Details, please!!!
It was.... amaaaazing!!! By the time he was singing his last song, 'Sgt Pepper', I was in floods of tears, I just didn't want it to end!! And a couple of us had our arms out, I dunno, as you do!! And when the song finished, he seemed to think about it for a second, and then came and did the 'high-five down the line' type thing, just to four of us. And it was... suddenly his hand was against mine!!! I was so overwhelmed, I just cried and cried!!!

'Tis true. He did stroke a few folks at the very front at the end of the show. His hands were, surprisingly enough, not sweaty at all.

I wonder if he will kiss me tomorrow if i go veggie for a week?

Brilliant! I'm so excited for you to have gotten that experience!!

Sounds like a helluva gig!

Blackbird

And clips are starting to show up on YouTube! http//
Thank you so much, CP and HI, for posting your experiences!!! I love hearing everyone's reviews of the various concerts, but this one seems so extra special, since it was so intimate and the sort of place I'd think was ideal to see him. Paul's talked a number of times about wanting to do more lunchtime gigs (I think he even hinted as much to President Obama!!), so if he was happy with this, it would be great to see this be a new trend for him. -
ive got a few to upload as well. all of blackbird and all of st pepper's/the end. plenty of photos too. it got better during the middle and end of the gig, but was a sea of cameras and phones to start with! there were professional cameras in there too, so whether it's for tv or for a dvd/internet release, will be interesting to see. get to spot ourselves on there!

I can only imagine how amazing this was based off your reports. I would've LOVED to be there. However, I think the Liverpool show is gonna steal the cake for this little "theater" tour. I was a little surprised by the setlist, I thought I Saw Her standing there and wonderful christmastime would've surely been in the encore. Good to see Calico Skies back!

Liverpool will be cool but just cant compare to having him a few feet away. 350 vs over 1000 it will be different today was truly unique and only something thats happened a handful of times in over 30 years .

True, I guess its two different kinds of special...today, the fans were physical close to him, in liverpool the fans will be close to him at heart, and him to his home.

What a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. Utterly brilliant. We heard some press talking inside. One journo reckoned 250 tickets were sold and that each newspaper had been given one ticket. Did anyone else see the 100 Club doorman selling wristbands out the front of the venue in full view of everyone? He sold about seven or eight that we saw and was being handed large wads of cash. What was really annoying was that the ones he sold them too he then escorted into the club ahead of those of us queuing!

Must say, didn't see that. When we got inside there was no one there apart from us and staff. So you've either mis-seen or the people who got in before us went straight for the beer.

Sea of cameras! LOL! From what I was watching the poor guy couldn't get a straight on shot because of all the video cameras in front of him. OMG!
