Paul on Jimmy Kimmel - September 23

Yeah, the band has been doing some excellent choices!! And, I have to give Kimmel credit: one of the better interviews I've seen with Paul. Not the usual stupid questions. Very good!!

Fun to see him mouth the words "I haven't had any dinner!" So what/how many songs did he play on the Boulevard?

This is very disappointing so far. Kimmel is terrible. His questions are lame and he seems like he knows little about Paul's career. Paul did carry him and as usual, was very funny. The worse part is that we have to sit through his entire show until we get a chance to see Paul play a song. As the time is fleeting by (Kimmel now has Patrick Dempsey on) it appears as Paul will probably only do one song. I just think the Producers of the Kimmel show did a terrible job. You have Paul (freaking) McCartney on with a new album and you have Patrick Dempsey as an additional guest. Put Mr. Dempsey on another night for God sake. They could of had enough time to show Paul doing 2-3 songs. Well, even with more time, Kimmel would have just asked more stupid questions. Anyway, after an endless amount of commercials, Paul is finally going to come on next. If it is only 1 song, my bet is that is is "New" (the song).

Enjoying every minute of this broadcast! Great to hear "New", and now "Lady Madonna". Excellent way to cap off the evening.
-
I thought the interview was OK. Did anyone catch the part where Paul said the first song he wrote with John was I Saw Her Standing There. Wasn't it In Spite of All the Danger? Anyway, they are playing New and Lady Madonna on the broadcast.
-
Well, that was great! Now on to the stream!!

Well, I liked the interview and the questions.
-
Paul's "Abbey Road" story was great. My favorite part of the interview. His little pose cracked me up. Also, "In Spite Of All The Danger" was McCartney/Harrison, wasn't it? So that wouldn't have been the first Lennon/McCartney tune.
-
It's interesting watching the comments on MySpace. People seem to be digging "Save Us."

Sooooooooooo good to hear "Jet" live in 2013! Here are a couple of screen caps: https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn2/1236636_3529456533093_874783744_n.jpg https://fbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/1244019_3529457933128_702936923_o.jpg

My criticism on Kimmel was probably more my frustration in waiting what seemed forever to see Paul perform. I still thought the questions were pretty lame and the wisdom of having a 2nd guest. I guess when you are talking about entertainment shows like Kimmel, Letterman, Leno etc. the hosts are not going to get too deep into Paul's career and music. I liked Colbert the best because I love his "dry" sense of humor. At least it ended on a spectacular note. I thought Paul was great and to my surprise they did allow enough time for 2 songs. Thought "New" sounded real good and hopefully it will draw more interest in the album itself. As much as I heard Lady Madonna, I thought Paul did a "spot on" vocal on it. That almost sounded like a 35 year old Macca.

Upon further research, you are right. McCartney/Harrison. Now I feel dumb! Loving the concert!

I made the same mistake before. Yeah this concert is awesome. Great song selection.
-
I thought "New" sounded better tonight than at iHeartRadio. Paul's vocal was perfect.
-
Also worth mentioning, the Hofner sounds great in this broadcast mix! It tends to get lost in the mix a bit when in the audience at his concerts. It's popping tonight...especially on "Birthday"!
-
This stream started out great, but I'm having problems with it now, darn!!!!!
-
Paul was charming, funny, handsome, very nice on the show tonight, as I knew he would be I only got to hear "New" and "Lady Madonna." Loved 'em
