OK I just flew home and got in a few minutes ago... the queuing was atrocious!!! it did say on the information sheet we would be in pens.. 2-5 not the case... waited inline 7 hrs...we were in pen 3... was behind the girl with birthday sign.... some very friendly folks & than some not so friendly..... a few people were passing out from heat exhaustion... it was scorching hot I managed to have 2 coffee's- green tea latte - water and no food all day!! than I lost the group I was with.... Paul and the band sounded really great!!! the rest really sucked... 1iota said it was Jimmy Kimmel we had to take up the issue with regarding the space... that was left open for who? --- once these ppl entered into the pen number 2-- there was still space open---- ppl were on their cells texting and bs during Paul's set hardly any of em were singing or dancing what made it extra special the audio portion-- during Paul's interview was mute... hardly heard the interview at all....when someone from Jimmy Kimmels crew came to ask us tio clap louding--- when Jimmy came on we or rather lots of people--- booed!!!!! lol's hahaha....

Was the complete concert broadcast either on some TV channel or website? It is available now on youtube or elsewhere?
Try this: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/paul-mccartney-shuts-down-hollywood-boulevard-20130924
neither the my space or the above link works for me in Canada. if someone could put the video on youtube it would be appreciated.

Wow. Paul really rocked last night!! I think the background with the multicolored lines from the album's cover was totally awesome. I hope this becomes a regular feature on the upcoming "Out There" shows. The interview was also pretty good. He was funny, casual, and natural, which is always fun to see. The only rough patch for me was that the sound quality for the two songs aired on tv was terrible, but on the stream everything sounded fine. Paul was even better last night than he was on Saturday's iHeartRadio performance! I already liked the new songs before, but now I'm dying to buy them and have to deal with the frustration that they're not available yet... (Is it even possible to get withdraw before an album even drops? :lol Initially, I liked both a lot, but found "Save Us" to be leaps and bounds better than "Everybody Out There," but recently - and especially after last night's performance - "Everybody" has been really growing on me. After a bit, something about it reminds me of "Hope of Deliverance" (though the parallel with "Mrs. Vanderbilt" seems much more prevalent). While "Save Us" is more instantly appealing and direct, "EOT" seems to be hypnotically addictive and creeps up on you, much like the atmosphere that night. For some reason, when Paul finally climbed the stairs on the stage to play "Let it Be" on the piano, he seemed less like a mere mortal and more like a powerful icon sitting on a thrown. Maybe it was the story that he shared in the interview about the time he got emotional singing the song which, in turn, made me more conscious of the moment. He just seemed so powerful up there, literally looking across a sea of people who blocked off traffic and put their lives on pause - with short notice - to hear him play for an hour. He wasn't just some wealthy musician singing a familiar classic: he was a legend singing the songs he wrote himself. The songs were more like spells and the seemed to have everyone mesmerized. It felt truly like (modern) McCartney mania! (I feel like such a fanboy saying this stuff :lol This was so worth getting only three and a half hours sleep! Can't wait for the 15th!!!

'hope of deliverance' comes to mind for many when hearing 'everybody out there' because the first strummed chords in E.O.T. are the chords for the first line of H.O.D.'s chorus - F to Aminor for me though, the song has a 'young boy' feel to it and a much slower 'if you wanna' feel as well btw, the interview was great as always ♪

In the interview with Kimmel I heard Paul say "Long Tall Sally," that's my nickname for N. Shevell

Sometimes great things happen to me. I had priority tickets to Jimmy Kimmel Live and ended up 2nd from railing. I was the only one of the people I knew that ended up getting bumped and part of me felt horrible cause I heard the nightmare that was the GA and for people that had been spending all day in line. I didn't have to get in a line until 2:45, so I had a few hours to eat and drink at the Hard Rock. But I can't feel horrible because I did nothing to get these tickets and I was just lucky and sometimes people like me get lucky. I sweated and danced and sang and enjoyed the atmosphere and the beautiful Hollywood night. He was amazing and I feel blessed that this opportunity presented itself to me. My concert list is short but every single one of them has been so memorable. This one was no exception.

Did anybody catch Jimmy Kimmel with Justin Timberlake last night. Not into JT but I decided to watch solely to see if there was any mention of Paul's appearance the night before. Boy did a get a big surprise. The whole first part of the interview was totally centered on Paul. And it was all induced by Kimmel. It was obvious to me that Kimmel was genuinely still mesmerized by Paul's concert. He started the interview by asking Justin if he felt nervous doing the concert following Paul. He then went on to ask Justin if he had ever been to one of Macca's shows. Kimmel just seemed to go on and on about how great Paul is especially considering he is 71. Would have loved to been in the same room as Timberlake's management team. I'm sure they didn't want the TV interview with their guy to be all about Paul. It just seemed to me that Kimmel had never seen Paul live before and he couldn't get it off his mind. I will give credit to Justin Timberlake. He seemed very respectful of Paul and wasn't adverse to singing his praises also. Justin joked about being able to tell people that a Beatle had opened a show for him (I Heart Concert). He even mentioned Wings and used the term "best" when describing Paul's contribution to music. Did anyone else see it last night and what were you're impressions. I am now a Jimmy Kimmel fan. PS Did you catch the picture of Kimmel and his wife earlier in this thread (Nancy is behind them). Kimmel's wife seemed in awe of whatever song Paul was singing at the time.

I've been going over the interview in my mind, and remembering how Paul mentioned "Carnival of Light" as being an unreleased track the "deep" fans would like to have released. And the "hmmm....maybe; we'll see" type of look he gave after Kimmel said yes, he'd like to hear the "20 minutes of weirdness." Maybe he's thinking about it? Was great to hear him bring it up at all.

I know Birthday was played for sure...but I don't remember which song it came after. when it was played, the woman I gave my +1 told everyone it was my birthday.

funny how sometimes you don't plan for something great to happen but it does. i'm just happy there were some true Macca fans who got priority, so congrats!

Hi B J Conlee, I did see Justin Timberlake interview and I was also impressed that they talked so much about Paul for the first half of the interview! I thought they might mention Paul, but they actually dedicated quite a bit of his interview to him! It was so nice to see a talented young man like Timberlake, admitting that he admires Paul still rocking at the age of 71; I am sure many artists in the music industry wish they could have the longevity and respect that Paul has. BTW, loved Justin trying to do a "Paul-voice" I agree with you, Jimmy seemed to want to gush about Paul, from his music, longevity and even his looks! ("he looks better than the both of us", I think he said?) Jimmy clearly is a fan, it is nice to see celebrities in awe of each other
