Paul McCartney 2013 Rumours

Linda, you will be ok! See ya soon friend!!
maccascruff:
I so wish he would just announce all of the shows. I now have hotels booked in three cities, but I will only be going to one. Sheesh. Trying to make this as painless as possible on my credit card. Keep repeating: do not do the sound check, do not do the sound check
Think it's down to two possibilities. Drive to Memphis, drive to Tulsa from Memphis Time will tell. My pocket book hurts already. Think Austin is out of the picture.

Technically, I could fly to Austin on the 22nd to see Paul, spend the night and then fly to Louisville, KY the next day for AROTR, then fly home to Atlanta on Mon. the 27th. I really prefer driving up there so I can bring a cooler and food. Paul, why can't you just do a show in HOTLANTA?!!
Funny, I was just coming on here to ask if Atlanta has been rumored as a possible tour stop? I remember a list that came up somewhere way back on this thread and Atlanta wasn't on it. Over the years, Atlanta has been a consistent stop for him (see the years since 1990 listed below) and he last played in 2009, so could very well be time for another stop. Then again, could it be held for a later day, say the fall when we can possibly look forward to a new studio album tour? If so, it begs the question why not wait until the album is done and out before going Out There?

The Out There Tour dates suggests he's either putting the new album out soon, or the album will not be out until next year. I do not think he will tour in the fall if he's touring this May-July. My guess is he's putting the finishing touches on the new album, and he will surprise us by playing some of it while Out There.

If you look at the list of states at least, and compare it Summer Live '09...it is VERY repetitious... -NYC (still a rumour) -DC (CONFIREMD) -Boston (CONFIRMED) -Atlanta (...) -Tulsa (CONFIRMED) -Dallas (Austin...)

Wonder if Philadelphia is a possibility for July 15 or 16. Since Paul is doing Baseball Stadium shows in Boston (Fenway) and Washington DC (National's Park) before the above dates, I have my hopes up. The Phillies Park (Citizen's Bank) is unoccupied on July 15 and 16 because of the All-Star Game so it seems to be available. Citizen's Bank is a beautiful outdoor stadium (holds about 45,000 for baseball) and Paul has never played there. Bruce Springsteen played here last Summer so the Bank has held Concerts in the past for the big acts. I believe Roger Waters played there as well. Let's hope. I've been to all the Philly shows (except '76) and he always sells out. PS If anyone has heard anything, please let me know. thanks

There's a rumour for Toronto on June 15th and a rumour for Quebec on June 23rd...so it sounds like he's heading North around that time...
-
A 5-10 second ad just ran during the Lakers-Clippers, all it was was the Out there ad as seen on the 95.7 website: http://www.957kjr.com/main.html But it had a voice that said is there anybody out there, after listening a few times it does sound like Macca but first listen it sounded like Roger Waters. Hoping it pops up on YouTube.
-
I should also say it was the local Komo 4 ABC news affiliate from Seattle.

My bet is that he will do the "Out There" Tour thru August, do the UK XMas shows in December, release the new album in February, and tour in March (US) to promote the album.

My bet is.. you're wrong!
-
He certainly won't be working through Aug. Maybe first week but that's it. But I think he will resume in the fall, somewhere. But where the alleged new album fits into all this is anybody's guess.

Yes that voice over with the ad.

The rumor for Quebec is July 23rd...would make sense to have a Toronto or Montreal show close to that.

EXACTLY! It is starting to look like the 09 lineup, which would seem to make an Atlanta show, sooner or later, inevitable. That is, unless the festival near Nashville is considered close enough to Atlanta to just not bother. Time will tell.
-
Again, wheeeeeeeeeere did the Toronto on July 15 rumor come from and do we know anything about how likely it is??
-
I will poop a brick if I buy Austin tix & then he announces Atlanta!
