To the undecided voters: I, personally, want the "Change" that Obama/Biden are offering.
I personally am afraid of the unknown "changes" that Obama/Biden are offering. When you don't know much about a person, it makes it difficult to put your trust in them.
Exactly.....and Obama has done nothing to "CHANGE" that........ I am not very fond of either candidate but will vote......I will have to vote for the lesser of two evils....

[quote="Fan Since 1964 Hi StacyT, You owe it to yourself to find answers to the questions that are causing your mistrust of Obama/Biden. We are in the worst economic shape since The Great Depression and McCain voted with George W. Bush 90% of the time and we are in this mess. The Great Depression was an American problem but the present economic woes are "global" in nature. President Bush is going to host an emergency G8 meeting this weekend to avoid the possible collapse of the "global" economy. Plus, Gov. Palin brings the baggage of "Troopergate" and abuse of her power as Governor with her to the Republican ticket. She is a heartbeat away from the Presidency and that is scary to me. Why anybody would want to continue on the present path by voting for McCain is beyond me. Knowledge is bliss and the choice is yours. Happy information searching. Thanks for the nice words & for not bashing me for not agreeing with the majority. I understand a lot of people are scared of many things going on, the unknown & are just plain frustrated right now & I am too. Worried about my husband's 401K & how much worth it has lost. But we'll get through. Most of all, I just wish the people in our country could come together & put aside so many differences & see each other as equals for once. Nice to dream of a beautiful world...and Peace in the Neighbourhood---"...helping each other out."

Hello Matthew_Montoya, It is no news that your "modus operandi" (The way that someone usually does something) is to pick apart others' political posts that you disagree with line-by-line in order to engage people in a lengthy post volley. I will not go there. My only purpose is to give undecideds information to allow them to make an informed choice. I will let my original post stand on its own.
And, not surprisingly, your modus operandi is to post something only to just ignore and avoid any challenges or critique. In other words, forget defending your post... just believe. I mean, come on... LOL, "I'll let my post stand on its own?" Well, isn't that a nice way of saying "I'm too good to reply!" It's also interesting how you spent all your time posting something, only to exempt yourself from any challenges to come your way. If you don't want your ideas or opinions critiqued, then it's not the best idea to post them on a public forum.

If you want more Bushesque policies by voting for McCain that's your business.
And you've yet to tell me which ones and why they are, as you've said, "disenfranchised."

To the undecided voters: Vote for who you wish, but do not make the decision based on posts where it's author only expects you to believe, rather than actually be willing to defend it's positions.

Perhaps you should make it a point to learn about Obama/Biden. Being an informed citizen is a responsibility in a democracy. If more citizens had known more about bush he would not have been elected and we wouldn't be in the mess we are now with our country almost destroyed.
So, anyone who doesn't vote for Obama/Biden or anyone who voted for Bush was just "misinformed?" What if people voted in Bush merely because they just rejected the opponent's policies? What if people vote in McCain because they reject Obama's policies? As for our country being almost "destroyed," prove it. There's a big difference between saying that there are problems going on within a country and then saying that the country is almost destroyed.

Barack 'Osama' on Rensselaer County ballots Election officials on both sides of aisle insist error on absentee ballots was a typo By Bob Gardinier, Staff writer Last updated: 4:05 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2008 TROY ? Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama's last name is spelled "Osama" on hundreds of absentee ballots mailed out this week to voters in Rensselaer County. The misspelling, which elections officials on both sides of the aisle insist was simply a typo, is causing embarrassment for the county. ''No question this is an honest mistake innocently done,'' said Edward McDonough, the Democratic commissioner. ''We catch almost everything.'' ''This was a typo,'' said Republican Commissioner Larry Bugbee. ''We have three different staff members who proof these things and somehow the typo got by us.'' complete article with pic: http://timesunion.com/AspStories/story.asp?storyID=728326

Logic?? Not at all....
So if you didn't use logic to prove that logic doesn't always prevail with humans, then what did you prove this argument on? Astrology? ???????
jaipur:
It must be terribly frustrating to be so anal that a general statement is twisted into being labled "contradictory"
Just because it's a general statement doesn't mean it can't also be contradictory. They're not mutually exclusive. And instead of complaining about the criticism, how about responding to it, instead?
And what if it is?? I must tell you that humans live in ambiguity all the time....some adapt to that, others , like yourself, want to live in a "black & white" world...which it isn't. I am not complaining about criticism in that slightlest. I'm sorry you misninterpreted it that way. I don't understand why giving Obama some points for acknowledging McCain's point is such a problem for you Not a big deal in my point of view....just as I give points to McCain for correcting the woman in that town hall meeting about Obama.

Hello blondie10, Since you've chosen to join the fray, I will state that I am not too good to reply but I will not play M_M's never-ending game of verbal volley. Past experience bears out that is what will happen here and, I repeat, I'm not going there. Like I said in my original post, my only purpose is to inform the undecided voter. Take care.

that one way to look at it or the other If you keep doing the same thing you keep getting the same results. 4700 US dead in Irag 18 suicide a day by vets stock lowest since the great depression. GM closing plants billion dollar bail out Every man woman and child are 30,000-100,000(depends on which report) in debt under the Rep watch. The world hates us. Gas reach 489 at the pumps up from 1.10 when dickhead got in Hummm stay the same or change? I pick change. McCain's been in office 30 years and I'm not impressed.

McCain Letter Demanded 2006 Action on Fannie and Freddie 10/10/2008 Sen. John McCain's 2006 demand for regulatory action on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac could have prevented current financial crisis, as HUMAN EVENTS learned from the letter shown in full text below. McCain's letter -- signed by nineteen other senators -- said that it was "...vitally important that Congress take the necessary steps to ensure that [Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac]...operate in a safe and sound manner.[and]..More importantly, Congress must ensure that the American taxpayer is protected in the event that either...should fail." Sen. Obama did not sign the letter, nor did any other Democrat. http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=28973
