Predict Next Setlist

Remember that really rough Goodnight Tonight he did in London not so long ago? Rough as hell, yeah, but gee it sounded good to hear a NEW song. His vocals were pretty good too. There's soooo much he could do live and his band can do anything. It's not unreasonable to expect 10 new songs. He can still keep the staples, but things like Long and Winding Road, Eleanor Rigby, Dance Tonight, Let Me Roll It, Drive My Car, All My Loving should be rested. Many more than that! And it would still be a killer setlist! People need to tell him that! It's probably the last chance for wholesale changes. If it doesn't happen this time, it ain't never going to happen...

No, the sound guy just adds a delay to his mic for that part. Its all live.
And a sloppy one, the majority of the shows I saw, haha!

We can probably start predicting what the setlist for the next tour might look like. Here is a list of songs that he has to perform in every show for his new fans (the crowd pleasers): The Long And Winding Road Blackbird Eleanor Rigby Band On The Run Back In The USSR Let It Be Live And Let Die Hey Jude Lady Madonna Get Back Yesterday Helter Skelter I assume that he will keep the new songs that he did on this tour such as Venus and Mars, Letting Go and Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five as well. I also read somewhere that he did a couple of new Fireman songs in his soundchecks, but I can't remember what they were, there is a possibility that they might get added too.
Setlist will stay pretty much the same IMO. The only question IMO is if he has new record out before or during tour. In that case, audience may get 3-4 new songs in setlist.
Unfortunately, I'm inclined to agree with you. I posted my fantasy setlist a couple of pages back, and based the selection of songs on ones that could still be performed well given Paul's limits in terms of vocal range. He may open with Venus and Mars/Rockshow, reintroduce My Love, and the occasional Letting Go (one of my least favorite Wings songs). Those songs would be included for the sake of the WOA re-release. But then again, it's not like he performed tons of songs from Ram when that was re-released last year. I never cared for Young Boy, and I think he has better material off of Flaming Pie, and I'll never understand the fascination with Hope of Deliverance. That said, their inclusion would at least represent a change in the setlist. I think Paul knows that to promote WOA, all he needs to do is tour (it's a live album). A new studio album wouldn't be released before the tour begins in May, there's just not enough time for marketing.
IMO - Most people in concert crowd will not care one bit about WOA, concerts have basically become a Beatle love fest. I understand the reason just stating the obvious. This tour like others will have a couple of changes to make it "minty-fresh" (lol) and a bunch of people on this board will go heads over heels crazy about the different songs added. In my perfect McCartney concert, he would perform the 18-20 Beatle songs he feels he has to for the majority of the crowd. The remaining 10-15 songs would be Wings/Solo/Fireman songs that he has never played live before or has not done them in 15-20 years. I will name a few that I would like. If McCartney has released new record, then I would love to have 3-4 of the songs be new ones from that record. 1) Take It Away 2) Promise To You Girl 3) Dance Til We're High 4) Run Devil Run 5) Little Willow 6) Ever Present Past 7) Rockestra My Brave Face 9) Another Day 10) Soily 11) Beautiful Night 12) House of Wax
That's a nice selection. I love My Brave Face, but it's one of the few songs that did not sound good live, IMO. It would be great if there was some way to rework it. The opening vocals on the 1989/90 world tour were somewhat lacking. Perhaps if he sang along to a backing track of his voice overdubbed? Isn't this how he does those parts where he sings over his own lines on Here Today?
I thought "My Brave Face" sounded pretty good live, actually I thought "Figure of Eight" did not sound that good live and I like that song very much also. As for "Here Today", I believe you are right.
-
I'd always thought that it was one of the band members singing that "answer" vocal during "Here Today" off-stage.

No, it's definitely Paul. It's a time delay (done badly).

I have a good feeling about this tour. I think we will have at least half a dozen surprises in the setlist on the opening night. Apart from including songs that have never been performed live, maybe he will bring back some that have been away for a long time, such as "We Can Work It Out".

Just watched this. I guess you're right. Pretty good performance, and Robbie's work on the Rickenbacker 360/12 is lovely. Maybe it could sound even better in 2013 than it did in 1989/90.
Figure of Eight I loved. The anticipation after the film, with NOW appearing on the screens as the synthesizer drone began. I thought it was great, but I preferred the jangly guitar on the version on FITD. -
Possible early never before played Beatle tunes I think could take the place of The Night Before Another Girl From Me To You I Wanna Be Your Man (Stones are playing it) Baby's In Black

Why do people keep suggesting "From Me To You" and "Baby's in Black"? They would be downright WEIRD without John and in the grand spectrum of things, they really aren't hits or even "fan favorites" ya know? "Another Girl" would be a valid replacement, even keeping it within the same album but, if Paul is gonna drop anything it really shouldn't be "The Night Before" considering he's only been playing it since 2011 and NONE of the cities on this tour have heard it live before.

Because he did Please Please Me and I'll Get You. Beatle SATs Please Please Me -> From Me To You I'll Get You -> Baby's In Black Paul usually plays a never before played Beatles song early in the set. 2002 - Getting Better 2004 - You Won't See Me 2005 - I'll Get You Current - The Night Before Considering 'From Me To You' was co-written by Paul and a #1 I think it would be a crowd pleaser and Baby's In Black was good enough to make the Shea Stadium set list, so it would probably go down well in the ball parks again. Ask, and ye shall receive.

Beatle SAT's...I think this whole thread is very opinion based so putting things into categories like that is very hard, and I really do not think Paul approaches it that way, of course- that's just my opinion.

I think 1985 has to stay in the setlist. Its an amazing song and his performance of it on the Sandy concert shows how much he loves to play the song. I wouldnt mind seeing no more lonely nights and Fine Line added. I alsoove only mama knows and wish it was back in there.

Young Boy or The World Tonight would be great.

I'm tellin ya...not much overhaul. These are all fresh cities but, it is a new tour after all. So, I'd expect six serious changes (outside of the normal flip-flopper songs).

You're often right, but this time I have a strong feeling that you're going to be blind-sided by the upcoming setlist.

YES. Audi and I are keeping the faith. Up & Coming had like 8/9 additions at the first night, On The Run 7/8, but apart from those I expect shocking additions. This tour seems like something else. There are even talks of a new stage set-up. This is going to be huge.
