Predict Next Setlist

1985 is arguably the second most exciting moment of the show!!! Next to the Golden Slumbers medley, I think it's what I've looked forward to the most over the past few years!!
-
I want to hear at least 80% of "Back to the egg". That would satisfy me

I'm willing to say right here, right now that Magneto and Titanium Man, Another Girl and Goodnight Tonight are definite ins. I base this on nothing but my gut feeling.

Are we suppose to read between the lines?

Just my gut feeling, but I truly believe these are very strong possibilities. I remember how I felt when he opened the Up and Coming tour in Phoenix(?) ...and reading the song titles as they were being tweeted...just insane... V&M, Letting Go, 1985, I'm Looking Through You...etc My God - I hope I have the same feeling after the first night in Brazil.

I hope so too! I remember reading the song titles for that Phoenix show back in 2010 (has it been that long already?) and being completely gobsmacked! It made me all the more excited to see him when I eventually saw Paul at the Hollywood Bowl that year.

I hope he doesn't open with Venus and Mars/Rockshow. He just opened with that in 2010. During that show, he also played Letting Go and Let Em In. If he is really changing the setlist, I hope he plays some songs that he has never played, or at least some songs that have been absent for 10+ years. I'd love to hear Penny Lane, Fool on the Hill, Here There and Everywhere, and For No One. From a Wings standpoint, the rumors sound really cool - Silly Love Songs, With a Little Luck, Listen to What the Man Said. From a personal standpoint, I'd love to here something from Back to the Egg, like Getting Closer or Old Siam Sir, or anything from Tug of War.

WOW, this is a fantastic setlist!!! I think I would be off the ground the whole show with this setlist!!!

If he did Getting Closer or Old Siam Sir, once again...I'm on a plane to the United States!!!

I want more changes, I don't want him to play it safe, I want him to really go for it, a setlist like this... Juniors Farm Getting Closer Hi Hi Hi I've Had Enough Listen To What The Man Said Rockestra Theme House Of Wax That Was Me This Never Happened Before Too Much Rain Promise To You Girl See Your Sunshine Somebody Who cares Friends To Go One Of These Days The Mess Big Barn Bed Girlschool Take It Away No More Lonely Nights Cafe On The Left Bank What It Is For Harrison Tribute - For You Blue Lennon Tribute - Revolution - If McCartney performed this scorching rocker, the roof would absolutely come off the place! Seems to me many people don't want McCartney to stretch out enough!

Love it but not going to happen. Actually if he even did five of the songs you listed I would be quite happy at this point. You are right, most people can't get enough of the Beatle songs and the BOTR Wings songs. The don't seem to mind that 95% of his show is songs over 30 years old. Wouldn't be nice if McCartney cared about pleasing people who buy his solo records by doing more of it live.

Very true. When Paul did the shows in 2010, I had a friend who was sort of interested in going and taking his teen daughters, but he thought there would be "too many songs I didn't know" even tho I told him that he should GO!!! and take his girls, because a Splendid Time Was Guaranteed for All. After he read the reviews of the show, he told me "if I'd known there were THAT many Beatles songs, I would have definitely gone." : And I have a friend going to one of the shows this year who somehow keeps missing him in concert (despite having me for a friend ) and she says it's a bucket list thing, so she's going to be verrry happy to hear all of those Beatles tunes.

Left Hand Man, I'm with you all the way but as others have said...i'ts not going to happen. I agree with you that Paul is far, far too conservative with his setlist and has unfortunately done his Solo career a real disservice. One solo song I would love to hear that you didn't mention is: Young Boy Can you imagine how good this would sound especially towards the end as the song builds to its crescendo.

I wonder if the challenge for new, fresh song lists is time between shows/tours. In 1989, it was stunning when Paul came out and did the songs he did! Then, three years later, in 1993, he did a LOT of songs never heard before and a new album to promote. We had a nine year wait for a new CD and more never heard live before. That was 2002. Three years later, in the USA, Paul had a NEW tour with NEW staging in 2005. Starting in 2009 was when things started to "settle in" with a few shows here and there, adding some, taking out some, which to be fair Paul has done. But it is so less evident because he really has been touring ever since, changing things here and there. Imagine if he toured in 2009, then waited until now, it would be easier for him to have a radically new set list and stage. Maybe this is it. Maybe this stage WILL be different. As far as set lists, I think ten new songs is being optimistic.

Aside from the 5 shows last November, Paul has had almost a year off. It took me all of 5 minutes to learn "Listen To What The Man Said" yesterday. Paul and the band could learn 10 new songs in a week, getting them up to performance standard. Sounds like this is a complete overhaul and many Wings songs are finally getting their time to shine. There never could be a better moment than this one. Hopefully this won't be the last tour.

I would very much welcome 'Listen To What The Man Said'..... I just don't know if I can handle synthesized sax work by Wix..... might be too jarring! Same with 'Silly Love Songs'.
