I have a soundcheck at Fenway for my family of 4, including two kids. Is there a good place to stand in line when they line you up in order to be in the front? If you are among the first in line, do you get to stop where you want, or do they lead you to where they want you to stand? Where is the right place to be in line if you want a good location?

It really doesn't matter much if you are first in line to go into the venue or not. The whole group is pretty far away from the stage. In Fresno, we all lined up after the appetizers, and then you just walked in at your own pace and stood wherever you wanted, behind the first section of the floor seating. Some people chose to sit in the bottom row of the lower tier. Just don't dawdle or you won't be able to be in the front of the crowd. There was a lot of jostling for position going on, and shifting of the crowd. Have fun!!!!

They won't be able to do that at Fenway; the seats are too far away from the field and the rest of the group. The soundcheckers will be led onto the field and towards the rows that they will be allowed to sit in. Since it's a stadium, the first row of people will stretch out wider than it would in an arena. So daver, if you are worried about your kids being able to see over everyone and you want them to be in the first row of people, you should be ok, altho if you are farther back in the line, you may not be dead center. (if that makes any sense).

There is a fine art to getting the best view! I screwed up in my first SC and filed in too late. I was prepared in Atlanta and timed it right to be in the center of the first row.

We got lucky in St. Louis without knowing it. We were in the front row and in the center. Some of the "regulars" came later and ended up behind us and off to the sides.

I would like to ask you in what time Paul usually does soundcheck? I've read somewhere it's around 5pm. Is it true?

For the soundcheck in vienna 2013 McCartney entered the stage around 4:40pm in the case of amsterdam (second concert) 2015 he had same delay and performed the first song (Honey don't) around 5:50pm. He left the hotel last Saturday in Duesseldorf 4:15 pm that means 5:00 should be an realistic time at the moment. By the way I got the info that we have to arrive for the soundeck in Berlin for 3:30pm. Is this the same time like in Madrid, Paris ...?

Paris was 3.30 too and the SC started at 4.30 so there was just enough time to avoid any rush. I wonder how it worked out in Madrid for the SC people as it was a GA show too, can't imagine there would have been less of a dash to make it to the rail for the show 😉

Last year at a Soundcheck,we were told to line up before going into the arena. As we were being led in -all of us in a nice row - a couple of Fans on the Run walked past everyone, laughing & walked right to the front of the line & made sure they got the center space first .More than a few were mad that they were allowed to get away with that.

I go back so far,I'm in front of me

So you are inferring (or have knowledge) that some of the fans who go to a lot of concerts are groupies?
