THE 'FRESHEN UP' TOUR 2018

Do you guys think there an announced US leg(s)? If so, when do you think is will be announced? Sorry if this has already been asked.
Maybe we can see some shows happening before ACL or between the two festival weekends. I think it's hard to get shows just after ACL, because he should take a few days off before Japan.
In November I can only see the third week (18th to 24th) as a chance for him to play in the US or somewhere and get some rest until December 3rd to start the tour in Europe. But there are two important points to note: the gap between that week and the show in Krakow seems very small and the last time that he has been on the road during Nancy's birthday (November 20th) was in 2013.
Sometimes Paul is unpredictable, but it looks like we will not have shows in the US this year.

Hi bjfcool
A while back I posted (without any connections to inside info) that there's still the possibility of 5 or 6 shows in the USA in October... in the following locations
1 show in NW USA (Seattle/Portland/Boise)
1 show in SW USA (Los Angeles/Phoenix/Albuquerque)
1 show in Central USA (Milwaukee/Chicago/Kansas City)
1 show in NE/East USA (Boston/Washington/Baltimore)
1 show in SE USA (Savannah/Jacksonville/Charlotte/Columbia,SC)
possibly also one in Denver or Salt Lake City
And what about New York City? If not a stadium concert, perhaps a few "surprise gigs"?
There could be fewer than what I'm thinking, or even a few more. It all depends on Paul's schedule. But it makes sense to me that if chooses not to do a full fledged US Tour this year, he'd be doing a few shows in centrally located areas.
There's still time to announce up to 6 shows in October. If we don't hear anything by the end of August, then we can assume nothing will be happening.
Since he;s just announced a few shows in Japan, it's still possible there's more announcements coming, and that may include a few shows in the US, they just might be shorter notice.
What's the shortest notice Paul has given before, regarding US Tours? Doesn't he usually announce about 2 months before an event, or have there been times in the past that it's been sooner than that?

Bob Dylan is going to perform in concert in Charlotte, N.C. I wonder if wonderful magic music man McCartney will ever consider performing again in the Carolinas...not as exotic as those other locales, LOL, but in the South, many have music in their blood, would love him to come.

Doesn't hurt to dream, Susy! Was thinking how great it would be if Paul made a surprise appearance at Ringo's concert in Kansas City on September 3 too Even if our wishes for a concert in our area don't come true, we can always keep our fingers crossed until all the announcements have been made.

Thanks, Lady Leslie. Columbia, S.C. was a great showcase for them in a beautiful-looking venue on the U.S.C. campus, but I think they might think they already shot their wad there (to use a vulgar term, ouch) having performed there just a couple years ago, might want to wait longer before giving another show. You mentioned Savannah in this thread. Beautiful city and cosmopolitan for its size, but they might think its population is too small, although it's not all that far from Charleston and some bigger cities in N.C. and Georgia and Florida and would no doubt draw some concert goers from those areas, too. And he did play in Charlottesville, Va., which isn't a big city, just a while back. I think they played Jacksonville, Fla. not all that long ago. It's pretty large, a million or more, I think.

Still looking for NY dates! Gives me time to save the $$$ though!

So, it has gotten quiet again, except for Japan. Good for them, I love Japan. Still surprised there are only 3 shows on the European mainland. Is it even worth transporting all the gear there for merely 3 shows? No wonder the ticket prices in Vienna have skyrocketed. Of course, Vienna has to subside the Krakow show, where tickets are very cheap. Strange that Liverpool never gets any second nights, it would have been an easy sell-out. I‘m going to Vienna and Liverpool. Looking forward very much and somehow hope for a few surprises in the set list.

Wow! You have seen him in a lot of different cities (including the one I skipped here in Atlanta) What was the 1997 London one? Was that the Music for Montserrat at the Albert Hall?

Okay, we know Paul's never going to drastically change the direction of his set lists, but how about 1 total, out-of-the-blue surprise? Is that too much to ask? My personal choice would be "The Mess."

Why aren't you guys reasonable--these are shrieking loud rockers, would tear up his vocal chords so he'd get hoarse and a sore throat, most likely. He's youthful, but not in his twenties, thirties and so on, anymore. Performing these would affect both his physical state and the rest of the concert, or if sung at the end, the next concert if it follows soon after. Then again, he does sing a number of all-out rockers at his shows, he's not past it, so what do I know. I guess I favor somewhat softer rock, mainly. And ballads and folky songs, acoustic, etc. I do love "Back In the U.S.S.R" and "Band On the Run" and such, though, "Jet," etc., especially when I haven't heard them in a long time, seems to me these are somewhat softer than "The Mess" and especially "Soily," or maybe "The Mess" isn't all that loud a rocker?

What about Silly Love Songs? He could still sing that!

Good luck with that after 8 area shows last year

Paul, Was wondering if you were considering adding another date to the Montreal show. I wasn't able to come up with the money fast enough to get tickets, and then they were sold out.
I was so disappointed to not be able to see you, especially in my hometown.

Haha yeah Im getting impatient for U.S tour dates waiting for Southern California to be added!

I like that "out of the blue" phrase regarding the new setlist. How about a "refreshed acoustic set". Here's my list (just do 3-4 of them):
Little Willow
Put It There
Footprints
Early Days
Somebody Who Cares
Your Way
Too Much Rain

McCartney has only been in Charlotte in 1993 and 2010, last time I saw him was that concert in 2010. I think he has been to Raleigh NC after visiting Charlotte.
