Does anyone know how we can check the status of our PM.com store order? I ordered the Deluxe Colored Vinyl LP, and then created an account much later (so it's not in my "Orders" section of my account now--my order for Spotify green vinyl is though).
I have the order number but can't seem to find anywhere to check its status and see if it's shipped yet (and get a tracking number if it has)
It's hard to find -- looked 3 times before I found it. But if you hover over the Store tab, a drop-down menu with several choices appears. Click on Merchandise Store. Go to that page, scroll down to the bottom and look for "Contact Us" under "Customer Service." It's ridiculously hard to find. In any case... That page has a "Where is my order?" button that should let you check the status with the order number and zip or postal code. But when I did it, it didn't work!!!! Next to it there's a series of fields where you can put in your name, email, etc. and contact them, and that appeared to work. Good luck.
Bruce,
Thank you so much for the tip! I appreciate it. When I did the Order Status thing it also didn't work for me, which is a shame, but I did fill out the contact form and sent that off.
Cheers, my fellow Macca fan!

Hey All! Listened to Egypt Station at midnight and again at 5am. First impressions are high! The sound of the lp is outstanding; every track just jumps into the speakers.
Indeed. Hearing these tracks on a stereo system versus the youtube videos is night and day. Admittedly what I heard on youtube left me underwhelmed but that is not the case now. I bought my CD copy at Target first thing this morning, and should get my vinyl version delivered later today.
I only wish Paul had listed who was playing what on each track.

Okay, have just listened to the new album for the first time and my initial thoughts are that the four stars reviews its been receiving are probably about right. Its not another Band On The Run that's for sure so any such comparisons are totally redundant.
But in comparison with (relatively) recent albums its not as good as Chaos, it's probably not quite as good as New but it's a whole lot better than MAF, which a lot of fans like anyway. So I would say that ES is a good to very good album. Lots of high points with Who Cares, Confidante, Do It Now and Hand In Hand all standout tracks. I also like Naked.
I Don't Know and Come On To Me sound better on the album rather than in isolation. Perhaps the biggest disappointment is Despite Repeated Warnings which I thought might build into a dramatic piece (like Let's Eat Grandmas 'Donnie Darko' track which I've been playing a lot of recently) ... unfortunately Paul's song, while quite pleasant, really doesn't do much or go anywhere and just sounds like two songs stitched together. Perhaps I was expecting another 'Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five' but its nothing like that.
But this is just my initial thoughts after one play. I'm sure mty thoughts will change with subsequent plays but as of now, Egypt Station receives a 7/10 from me.

This is definitley an album (or digital music) to listen to with the headphones on. Paul sounds great and the instrumentation and layers of sound is out of this world. Will keep listening before reviewing. Early favorites are "Who Cares" and "Happy with You."
I cannot believe that I am listening to a new Paul album in 2018. Album release days for Paul have been a big deal for me for 32 years nows (Press to Play is the first album that I bought on release day).

Listened to whole album- just once so far. There isn’t a bad song in the album. First standout is Who Cares.. the guitar is stuck in my head. Despite Repeated Warnings (I’m very political) may be the next standout.
I do like the bonus tracks as well.

If he does not play "Who Cares" on this tour, I give up - lol.

I am so mad my pre-ordered copy from Target won’t be delivered until tomorrow! 🤬

I went into my local Target & got one. No display though...those times are gone.

I won’t go into detail as I’m not a reviewer and after all we all have (slightly lol) different views. I just wanted to post that the album will be what you need.
You won’t be disappointed. It’s not as easy as ‘New’ but it has more layers.
This is the first Macca music I’m listening to since my Beatle friend passed away. It’s weird listening to Paul’s music knowing he will never hear it. This man was much older than me and knew Paul in his school days, we used to go and see Macca together. Even though he was 30 years older than me, he was one of my best friends because we loved everything about this phenomenon of this music. I so miss him.
I’m a believer that music is the foundation of memories, what is my favourite track might not be yours, but we are Paul McCartney fans and I strongly believe we will all love this album. This album is forming memories of my friend, that’s how it will be embedded in me.

I took a gamble on the colored vinyl...I bought the "special vinyl edition" hoping it would be the colored vinyl...well it wasn't. I should've went with my gut and ordered it from the website. Anyways, my first impression after 1 listen through is positive...I like it better than "New" it sorta makes me consider Egypt Station the lovechild of "Driving Rain" and "Memory Almost Full" with "Chaos and Creation" being it's cousin...I'd like to know the personnel for this record...wonder if his touring band is on this one much? I pretty sure he's by himself on several of these tracks...

Hey folks -- long time since I posted here! Nice to see a few familiar names still here. I listened to the album today on Apple Music (several times) and I must say I'm impressed with a few of the tracks--not all of them, but the ones that are good are really good! The album opens and closes very strong. All the more upbeat tracks are very good. I'd say this album surpases New. I love I Don't Know (at 2:11 it definitely sounds like a Steely Dan influence--heard a Steely Dan influence again later in the album....wonder if it was intentional--anyone else comment on this?), Come On To You (has some bass moves that reminds me of his bass on parts of Abbey Road side two!! lyrics are not great on this one, but heard this tune out at a bar a couple times and it sounds great in that environment--really rocks), Who Cares, Back in Brazil, Ceasar Rock, second part of Despite Repeated Warnings, and Hunt You Down et al. People Want Peace I don't like but it has an unmistakable Give Peace a Chance riff. Opening Station and Station II definitely remind me of the intro to Sgt. Pepper! And on some tracks some cool backwards guitar pieces that harkens back to the Beatles. Overall a really nice piece of work--I hope it does well for him! Paul's still got it!!
Would be interested in any comments on my thoughts so far on this record.

I just got my copy this after noon after I got home from work! It put a smile on my face. I felt like Paul was waiting for me at home waiting for me to listen to his new album. And you know what? Im in love with Eygpt Station! The whole ENTIRE album I am in love with that is! Now I anxioisly wait to see if L.A will be added to his tour! Paul's new album just made me love him even more! I love how he writes his lyrics especially the ones that are personal feelings because I can relate to them. He writes his songs from his heart for us to enjoy. Thats the best way to make music in my opinion.

It's fascinating how varied and diverse all the different takes on ES are; makes one even more chompin' at the bit to hear this intriguing much discussed new offering from Paul Mc. I should have pre ordered one from Target like many here did. If anyone has an extra hard copy cd, I will send them a check right away for it and they can send it to me via snail mail right away if anyone is so good, I mean up for it to help a Macca music fan find out what the huge glorious uproar is about, LOL, I'm stuck in a little town, we don't have a Target and my car's not operating presently and I forgot how to order and pay from eBay or Amazon, and my puter won't show vids anymore for me to go to Paul's YouTube channel to watch and listen; and I tried to get the free ten day trial from SiriusXM and couldn't get a Microsoft account email addy to go through, which was a prerequisite; I'm just in a big Paul-deprived pitiful pickle !
Could I call the music dept. of a Target store and order it on the phone and they'd send it to me? Or a Barnes and Noble? Or order it online from that store? I dont dare try to from Paul's here cause something might go wrong, my ISP provider and internet and puters aren't the best

Apple Music and Amazon Prime are your friends! Do you have a HomePod or Alexa? I have both and Alexa is smarter but the Homepod sounds better--it's on the table next to me and Paul is rockin' it

So do you have anything to say about any particular song? Glad you smiled but you pretty much said very little!

Go to Target.com. Register (create a profile) Log in. Search for Egypt Station. It should be $14.99 + tax + shipping. Put in your info and credit card and buy it!

Not on here anymore. ️ (You meant Kathryn O. I see her posting on FB once in a blue moon)
You’ve been gone a long time and missed a lot. Paul was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night. Look it up on NBC online or watch On Demand.

Just sign up for Amazon Prime and you get instand access to the new album and a lot more. If you have an iPhone then Apple Music is a good deal. I ordered the album from Amazon.....prob in my mailbox but already cranking it on my HomePod. Sad I had to turn off Fuh You when my daughter and her friend were in the room. Stupid chorus for a pop album.
