Any idea how we can win tickets? Or will it be VIP only. In Liverpool now please Paul any idea how we can get tickets/invite to this gig?
It seems like it's literally going to be a surpise. Right place right time kinda job.

By the look at the audience at Abbey Road, start by being under 35! . (Maybe that was just because it was being filmed).

Oh interesting, I’m in Manchester just now so I think that I might head over & take my chances

Secret Gig in Liverpool tomorrow
Yes, Paul has just announced it in the Facebook Live Q and A at LIPA.
Really enjoyed the Facebook Q&A session. Apart from a few old, well worn stories he was on good form and very engaging - lots of laughs. Particularly liked his S&M predilection quip. And I smiled at the irony when he talked about the Beatles in Hamburg playing lots of different songs and varying the set so they didn't get bored night after night! Never going to happen but I'd like to see this format for a tour - Q&A session followed by a short set.
Yes, I caught that too about varying the setlist in Hamburg. LOL!!!

The gig is not a surprise anymore... maybe just the location.

This is my 1st time participating in a speculation thread, and also my 1st time quoting previous posts so I apologize if it turns out I did it wrong.
With the #underthestaircase concert being at Abbey Road and there being speculation of the Cavern Club being the location for the Liverpool concert, I wonder if there’s going to be a theme of locations that would be significant in Beatles history. Which might be trickier to find in NYC—Ed Sullivan Theatre maybe?

Was thinking exactly the same thing. Of course he did the gig at the ES Theatre in 1992, but he's done return gigs at The Cavern and even Abbey Road too. Other possibilities might be Carnegie Hall or even the Plaza Hotel, but Sullivan is by far the most significant. Who knows though (except Bob).
I'm most curious about timing because I'm *really* tired of being on red alert! When can we relax?
(And I think you did the quotes just right).

Welcome to Bob's world, it's red alert every day!!

Bob didn’t think there would be a 2nd Liverpool secret gig, though!

Bob when you peer into your crystal ball, what type of numbers are you seeing? 2 days? 1 week? Or is it still blurry at this point?
Also for those fortunate to have attended a small gig like Irving Plaza in the past: when it's first-come first-served for tickets (with tickets being sold at 10am for instance), do you need to stay at the venue until the concert or are you free to leave after getting your ticket?

At Irving Plaza, along with another board member, we got wrist bands at around 10AM and then were told what time to be back in the evening.

You are right, the irony of being bored with a set list - lol. The shame is it would not be hard for him to do especially now when he still has months before his "tour" begins and he can try things out in the "secret" shows. In addition to the songs from the new album, throw in 3-4 songs from his long solo career never done live and you have really freshened up your set list. Have a few songs that you can rotate in and out every other night and that helps it stop being boring. In addition, stop with the worn stories and tell some new ones even if they are Beatle related. My goodness, you have a lifetime of experience playing music around the world. Let's hear about other times in your life.

I definitely would have doubted it, but I told someone off board, Absolutely nobody would be expecting it so it would be the perfect time to do another. I had a feeling with Brian on the train that LIPA was going to happen. But no, other than an off feeling, I had no idea. But honestly with everything going on right now, I haven't been trying to find out about shows that I can't go to. Not that I would have been successful anyway, these type things are kept close to the vest until the very last minute. I had friends inside the LIPA show and at least one more friend has snagged a ticket to the Cavern
i've been working hard to angle myself at a mere chance if NYC happens. Because I don't see any invites coming my way!

Crystal ball still very fuzzy, if happening , it could be anywhere from next week until around album release. So much chatter going on right now. Different time frames, different venues. But I did get the first credible lead today so I continue to dig!!

How would that be possible? The tickets for the Cavern were only made available from the Echo Arena box office a few minutes ago. Is there a secret masonic underground network?!
