Paul McCartney 2017 Rumors

LadyLeslie:
... The radio hosts were of the opinion that record companies and publicists are not allowed to say anything until after an official announcement is made...
I work with PR and record companies day to day and they're absolutely not allowed to say anything until the artist confirms that the official announcement can be made. Some artists have heavy penalties for those who don't abide by these rules, so it's in everyone's best interests not to leak any information to press. As usual with Paul it's going to be a waiting game to see what his plans are for the second half of 2017.

So, maybe we'll see some US announcements in May for July/August. And he is going to focus on his new album in june.

The article also mentions that charity show next month in the UK. We know that Wix will be present, but if I understood the article correctly, it either says that Paul will be present as well, or that Paul will do a separate concert in the UK around that period. Maybe a forum member from France can translate the complete article?

According to Google Translate, the author thinks that Paul's appearing at the 'Rock against Cancer' which isn't strictly true because Wix is the only confirmed artist at present and, as we know, he's forming the house band for it. Will Paul make a guest appearance is anyone's guess, however. There's nothing concrete in the article, only Europe/Australia rumors which, to be fair, the author could have pulled off this very thread.

New album's release might be next Fall...don't have too long to wait, if so Hot dawg ! "will announce new tour dates in U.S. this summer Hope the French Fries are right about all this

Two sources now claim that Paul will return to Brazil in October, for concerts in Curitiba and S?o Paulo. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1464137760303162&id=161407773909507&refid=52 https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C8ncSUgXkAAW3my.jpg If true, I would bet on 2 concerts in S?o Paulo and 1 in Curitiba.

The article only states that McCartney usualy announce his US-concerts in May, so it's not really a rumour. More an expectation based on previous years that there will be new announcements next month.

I was listening to the NY Islanders game on the radio last night. There was an announcement about some concerts to open the new Nassau Coliseum. (Billy Joel, Barbara Streisand) Then there was an announcement of a "LIVING LEGEND" coming this fall. Could it be?????

I know there's only one person I think of when I hear that!

If it's not Paul, it's probably Bob Dylan or Elton John. But hopefully it's Paul's fall tour in support of his new album

Oh. And I remember the announcer said this living legend RETURNS to play at Nassau. So, I looked it up and Wings did play there in 1976.

The Fans on the Run Facebook page wrote this a few hours ago: "Ok, Latin America, there's definitely something brewing for the month of October that could include three shows, perhaps four. Nothing has been defined yet. Make noise, sign your country's petitions and nag at your local promoters. Geographically speaking, the focus seems to be from Central to South. Until Paul announces it, save!"

The rumours are for S?o Paulo and Curitiba in Brazil, both on October.
-
any Cuba rumors still out there? I remember something last year that must've fallen through

Just noticed someone mentioning a rumor of MSG and Brooklyn in September. Has it been discussed here?

From what I have heard about the fall shows, this sounds highly improbable. Always possible that maybe one might come off but I would definitely not count on both

Why in the hell would he play at MSG & Barclays on the same tour?...plus the Nassau rumor! It sounds to me like everybody is trying to make something out of nothing. Obviously all releases related to Paul are being staggered, so I suspect that once Sgt. Pepper stuff is out of the way at the end of May, we will hear about a new record and shortly after *hopefully* fall (maybe late summer?) dates in the US & South America...maybe back to England in December? I know there's nothing legitimate there but I just always liked the idea of him coming home for Christmas and doing that...don't know why it tapered off. And as far as Dylan or Elton playing Nassau...I don't follow Dylan, but he couldn't fill that place in 2017. Elton MIGHT but he's pretty well booked for the fall already.

Could also possibly be Neil Young or Bruce Springsteen who's booked for Nassau
