Paul McCartney 2017 Rumors

W.D. Stevens:
So, after all quiet on the Western Front, the buzz seems to be back. I reckon I'd be best placed to forget him coming down under so I should probably start looking at some of the places rumoured for the rest of the year. Maybe I should have bitten the bullet when the JetStar Japan deal was on but, oh well. I know the UK hasn't been properly touted as a possibility but if I had to travel to see him, that's the place I have the most interest in seeing from a tourism point of view but it's also probably the most expensive in terms of flights. Would there be much difference choosing between North or South America?
No idea, but I would travel somewhere you've always wanted to visit, if you're going to spend that kind of money. Somewhere you can check off your "bucket list."

Some of us have to save up to buy tickets... Going to hold off on FITD purchase just in case. Are sound checks different prices in different places? Always meant to go to one.
Sometimes prices are different country to country but if you are looking at say 100 US shows ( no, not a hint, just a ridiculous number) the price will be same for all those shows. I think they are up to $1600 or $1700 now per ticket
They went up to $1600 from the 2014 price of $1500 (front row went from $2000 to $2100) if they raise is to $1700 for 2017, forget SC for me! I will just get Gold VIP.
yeah, I wasn't sure so I would say it will stay at $1600 but you do never know!
I hope prices stay where they are. But I'd bet that they will go up.

Yes, that's what I'd love to do. I'd need a bit of a cash injection to do some touristy things. Ideally, I'd love to spend a few weeks or a month travelling around the UK. There's so much I want to see there besides Paul. If I'd gone to Japan, I'd have flown in, had a day for tourism (and to let my ears pop properly - learnt that when I flew to Sydney to see Billy Joel) and then a day for the concert before heading home.

I hope he will play in the UK this year, or at least somewhere else in Europe

Just based off of how long it's been since a show, I think Memphis is a prime candidate, along with San Antonio, Houston, Miami, etc as previously stated

I was wondering about Kansas City... he hasn't been here since 2014. Would be great if KC could be part of the tour this year! I heard a woman threw her underwear at him onstage the last time he was here, hopefully that didn't give him too bad of an impression where he wouldn't want to come back

I don't think I'd have enough blood to sell for that... and I'm not one of those girls who would do ANYTHING to get to the front row, or a sound check (I'd make a really bad groupie.) Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions on how to get quality seats to one of his shows or sound checks on a shoestring budget (obtained legally and ethically of course) I'd be happy to hear any suggestions... The only thing I can think of right now to do are two words... PRAY and SAVE

At Paul's age I think he'd like that type of publicity & proving that he's still got it!
-
He's due back for a Florida gig. Hubby and I haven't been there for a few years and are considering summer vacation there.. but of course I'll plan that around a possible Macca show

Yeah, it probably would be flattering. I think he takes it all in stride, and it's no big deal He's had women throwing themselves at him for years, so he's used to it by now. In this video (which is rather shaky)
someone threw a bra to him onstage (around the 2:20 mark). He just picked it up and made some jokes. I couldn't make out what all he said, but basically he just shrugged it off as no big deal. I'm sure it's not the first time something like that happened, and probably won't be the last Anyway to stay on topic, hopefully Kansas City can be part of the tour this year, so am anxiously awaiting any news, like everyone else hoping for their home towns. -

Yes, I agree. How many men in their 70s, with the exception of Tom Jones, get that kind of attention! I think it's a real compliment to him

Back in 2011 I did 21 days in the U.K. Loved it!

What's so funny is that interview from 1963 or 1964 where he talks about not being able to imagine performing at 40!! Little did he know he'd still be on stage at 75!

Were you there (Liverpool) during BeatleWeek that year? I was!

Just listened to Philadelphia's Andre Gardners (Breakfast With the Beatles) show this morning and at the end announced that Paul is in fact touring South America in October. They did add that "at this time, there were no confirmed U.S. dates" to share.

No confirmed. I'm sure there will be soon tho if the rumors hold true. It's just a guessing game now as to where and when. I predict US in July. Now to narrow it down some more.. regions?

Yeah, I had a thread started for one...even with the Oct date but it was merged into this thread.

I think they will wait until after Japan for the next announcements. Don't think they'd announce during the Japan shows and detract from the attention of them. But they are coming!

No Paul's people may not confirm until then but the venue may release info in their news reports sooner.

So far the next set of venues have kept the secrets to this date! Will be interesting to see reaction to a very particular thing. Lol!
