I had to find out from my mom! Did anyone else get an email? Oh well, I know and can get my tickets!!!!
-
I think this is a surefire sign that Texas is out for this year unless he adds a last minute date in the fall which is unlikely
-
Do we know when the pre-sale is for OKC?

Excuse me while go I block off some time on my work calendar!

I was able to get a ticket for myself but haven't been able to get a wheelchair seat for my sister yet. My niece was able to get a wheelchair accessible seat for my sister this morning - section 116!
-
For those traveling from out of town, feel free to post questions about staying in downtown OKC here. I'm from Tulsa but I'm fairly familiar with downtown OKC and I'll be glad to try to help.

Oklahoma was never like this!

He should sing "Press" tomorrow as a nod to the city
I would travel to this show if I knew that'd be at all possible! lol. I love "Press"!

____________________________________________________________ That's a great call for a song suggestion. I never thought of the Press song tying in with the Oklahoma City Show. I am also a fan of the Press to Play CD. I know its an album that did so poorly in Sales but I love many of the songs...Footprints, Only Love Remains, Feel the Sun, Stranglehold, Move Over Busker, Walking on a Tightrope, Press etc. I know many of the songs had the 80's sound, but I actually liked the production. In a couple of cases it went over the top, but mostly, as I said, I really liked a lot of the songs covering many genres. Press to Play in my opinion was a very adventurous CD that was the anti Pipes of Peace album which was too "Poppy" and didn't seem to jell from song to song. Press on the other hand jelled with me. The reason it sold so badly in my opinion was its timing. Paul was in a "down" period as music artists (even great ones like Paul) go back and forth from being "in" or "out". Press definitely came out when Paul was "out". Unfortunately, I would be shocked if Paul and the Band did it. First of all, it is more complex musically. Most of all, however, Paul rarely changes his overall setlist. He rotates a few songs from show to show but they are all songs that he has done many times. He's never done Press so I would bet the house mortgage that you won't see him even attempt it. When he reads a sign from a fan who is turning 64 and doesn't have the band break into a real popular song like "When I'm 64", I think your chances of hearing "Press" is slim to none leaning heavily on the none side.

I guess we can expect the Save Us/Letting Go/Birthday setlist tonight if the setlist rotation thing is happening?
