Sorry fans, but you just know he will sing Hey Jude with Elton, Billie, and the rest. That is almost a given. Since he probably has only a setlist of four or five songs, he is going to play songs people know. My guess is a setlist of Hey Jude, Jet, Yesterday, Love Me Do, and Band On The Run.
I like the way you are thinking Wingsoverkc. If he is truly Solo in this performance, however, I would see him only doing 1 or 2 songs at the most. It's now less than a week so we will see fairly soon.
With the amount of artists listed for the show, he will do at most two songs IMO. I can see him doing one song by himself and then maybe "Let It Be" with other artists joining him at the end of the song. Like you said, we will see soon.
I know by local artists that have been doing Instagram live miniconcerts these days that is really difficult sing along with someone else that is not at the same place, because threre's always some delay. So, I don't think there will be an alltogether song unless they previously record it and coordinate it.

I agree that he'll probably do 'Let It Be'. I can't see him doing 'Hey Jude', that song relies heavily on audience participation.
Personally I don't mind whatever he decides to play. It will just be great to see him. Of course I'd love something a bit more obscure, but it makes sense for him to play something universal, that everybody knows.

I would love him to do some of his solo songs that BJ and myself mentioned. He could then end it with something very well known like "Let It Be".Like I said in another post, I just hope he does whatever he chooses well.

completely agree.

Any idea what time Macca will come on? Ordinarily, the best performer would come on at the end of a concert. But given that he is based in Sussex, UK and given the time difference, should we expect him on a bit earlier?

It most likely that the shows will be previously recorded, in order to avoid any technical issues.
And now that the Stones join the team, I wouldn't be surprise if we can see Paul's band in the event too.

It would be great if Paul and his Band (still practicing social distancing) were performing. Then the possibilities of a song or two that would be totally "different or rare" would be possible. If that's the case, I could see Paul and his band doing either of the "Hope"songs...Hope for the Future or Hope of Deliverance.
For the US crowd, does anyone knows the time (East Coast time) the concert starts and what channels. Thanks
-
It's on the internet right now but the major portion, I assume major, will be on tonght on all channe;s I think.
Annie Lennox was just on!
For now go to:

Thanks goodnes the Stones were added to save the masses from the rest of the sappy schlock,

Embarrassing performance

Lady Maddona was the song

How sad, that was incredibly awful. Terrible song choice, I could not believe he picked "Lady Madonna". I was absolutely shocked how terrible he sounded.

Agreed. Sappy story that preceded it as well. Shoulda stuck with Yesterday. He needs to take a page out of Jaggers book, color his hair again, move around a bit, and wear shoe lifts.
Between tonights embarrassment, MIA on SNL(horrible), the Olympics fiasco, and the Jay Z debacle we may never recover from the humiliation. Teenagers and millenials are laughing at us all around the world

Well... I liked it. It was a really different version. Probably you are used to hear the songs like they sound in the album. Me, as a Bob Dylan fan I am, I'm used to it and I like those kind of things.
The songs you were asking for sound too obvious for me.
I think he did well.

I dont mind re-arrangments, but that was brutal. Awful song choice.

Part of the performance...
He did a very similiar arrangement before:

Jagger and the gang were pretty good, made McCartney look even worse. Have not been impressed by much tonight, liked Lady Gaga and the Stones, otherwise it has not been very good.

He still sounded terrible even if you were ok with that song.

Yes, the Stones were fantastic!
