YOU WERE IN A BAR LAST NIGHT?!🤯
Lol. Yes, a girlfriend & I stopped for a burger after shopping.

Me too! And like I said...I was in shock. I had to stop for a minute & listen. My friend commented how low his voice was. She's no where near being a Maccaholic.

It's really too bad that Paul's recent solo songs aren't played more in bars and stores, or on commercials etc.
I would think Find My Way would work well in a bar type setting too.

I think if he played more of his solo songs in concert people would know them better & then possibly they would get more air play & end up being well known songs.

I wonder how many times BJ and I said the same thing over the years -lol.

Many of us have been saying it for years.

Grammy award nominations get announced on Nov 23. It would be nice if "McCartney III" at least got a couple of nominations. I truly doubt it will because it was released late 2020 and may be forgotten. I think it was good enough compared to things I have heard this year.
-
Much as I want to root for Paul, McCartney III just isn't Grammy-worthy. Egypt Station would have been, but that's water under the proverbial bridge.
-
I hate to sound like an A-hole.... but McCartney 3 is his worst album ... I love Paul, but it is just not that great.... hasn't really grown on me... Two or three songs off from being good. Four or five songs off from being great.

While you and Toris don't like it, it was a critical success. It also reached #1 in the charts which gave the album some "buzz. I was not a fan of "McCartney III Imagine" being done but it also appeared to do well in the charts and younger artists thought enough of the music to do their version of his songs. I am not saying "Egypt Station" was not deserving of "Grammy nominations" but this is a different year with different competition. I posted that I was truly disappointed "Egypt Station" got ignored by the Grammy voters. Also, Paul is at the age to where sentiment may be a factor. There are not going to be many chances left to possibley honor him . Will he get nominations, I truly doubt it but just hoping.

Too each their own but "Wild Life" and "McCartney II" are his worst albums IMO.

Thanks Yankeefan. We're back in Florida. We had a good and productive time in NJ and Massachusetts but as they always say...There's no place like home. We were up North for 2 plus months and I missed my recliner and bed.
Thanks for keeping me abreast on this year's Grammy Award nominations. I still think McCartney 3 was a pretty good album that flowed well. I think it had 5-6 really good songs and certainly better than Wildlife and McCartney 2. Let's hope it gets a couple of nominations.

Yes...on his two worst albums. "Temporary Secretary" is proabably the single most embarrassing song of his ever....in my mind. "Wild Life" pretty much in its entirety was dreadful. I believe Egypt Station could have been much much stronger had he made a few switches in song selections for the album. Several songs he recorded during the sessions, but that were not placed on the album, would have much better choices than two or three he did select. They all eventually were released and two of them were bonus cuts on the original expanded album, but not the album proper that most stores carried....but they should have been. He needed a better editor for his material. While I love the song..."Confidante," his vocal is so painful to listen to, he should have swapped that one out IMO....or been made to record the vocal when his voice was in better shape. HIs producer let him down...or Paul wouldn't listen to him....probably the later. He needed better kickoff singles than the ones he selected as well. "Who Cares" and "Happy With You" were pure McCartney....had all his strengths...one that was catchy and bouncy with a nice beat and radio friendly and the other a gorgeous ballad...also radio friendly...that Paul can pull off in his sleep. But....that was three years ago. Missed opportunity. ""If you come on to me then I'll come on to you....yes I will, yes I will"...pure nonsense that never seemed to end. Doomed him right off the bat. IMO

I agree with you 100%. Let me add that "Bip Bop" from "Wild Life" is right up there with "Temporary Secretary" as one of the most dreadful songs he has ever recorded IMO. I wish he would have included "In A Hurry" and "Home Tonight" on the original album and eliminated a couple of other ones. I said on here a few times that "Who Cares" would have been a better kickoff single, catchy uptempo song with great message relevant in today's world. You nailed it with "Come On To Me", could have easily cut that song 30 seconds , so repetitive.

Glad you enjoyed your time up north but like you said, no place like home. Doubt "McCartney III" will get nominations but you can always cross your fingers and hope.

It would be a darn boring world if we all agreed on everything!.... to each their own, indeed. I was not the biggest fan of McCartney 2 when it came out... but that is probably because at the same time I was still discovering all the Beatles albums... being a second-generation fan.... some of the songs on there just didn't match up with Paul's greatest of what I was listening to from the Fab Four... as the years rolled on, I realised how great that album is... I love Temporary Secretary.... And most of the songs from that album... Wild Life?.... I like its rawness... it wasn't the time for Paul to release such an album like that at the time... An incomplete album... but I prefer listening to it than McCartney 3.... A part of me still thinks the true McCartney 3 was Chaos and Creation in the backyard... but, indeed... to each their own... I'm sure most of us agree on most things McCartney-wise.... now, I guess these days, it would be a Temporary P.A...

McCartney played all the instruments and sang everything on CHAOS for the most part so in a way it was similar to the McCartney triology albums. The big difference and I mean major difference (ha ha) is CHAOS had Nigel Godrich producing the album. This was not some home made type of album with Paul being experimental and in a way "winging it". CHAOS was serious album with a great producer who was not afraid to tell Paul something was not very good. The end product of CHAOS was about as perfect as you can get IMO, there were no clunker songs on it like most McCartney albums.

I'm still trying to figure out how/why songs like Sliding, The Kiss of Venus, Seize the Day, Winter Bird/When Winter Comes and Find My Way are not very good songs. I consider all of these McCartney 3 songs better than nearly all the songs on Wildlife and McCartney 2. A very strong album to finish the Trilogy imho.

I agree, it's kind of a smaller scale album with only 11 tracks and no bonus tracks, but I think song for song it's very good.
