Anybody planning to park in one of the lots around the ball park? Prices? I know they usually jack them up for Paul's shows at other venues.
Hi, here are the parking lots surrounding Nationals Park. I paid $42. for Lot C. http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/was/ballpark/parking.jsp

Ok, did a little scrounging around on a couple of Paul FB groups and people who are going to soundcheck said that the email they were sent said to arrive no later than 3:45. So maybe an hour or so before then would be an ideal time for limo watch?
I would not be there at 2:45....if they get the soundcheckers there at 3:45 I would get there around 4pm. We got there before the soundcheckers in Philly and waited about 2-3 hours.

I haven't seen Paul play in stormy weather and that looks to be the forecast for Friday. Will he still perform if it is pouring. I know though that lightning will call the whole thing off either temporarily or permanently. I'm hoping for the luck we had seeing Elton/Billy there. It was pouring all day and about an hour before the show, the sun came out and the rain subsided for the show.

Paul doesn't usually show up till 5 or after for soundcheck, for shows that say they start at 8. The rest of the band is there, but Paul comes later. The couple of times I've caught him arriving, it's been about 5:20 or so. Good luck! Hope you're standing on the correct side to see him...

In Atlanta's Piedmont Park in 2009, there was a 10% chance of rain and the one thundercloud in the entire area stopped over the Park and started dumping heavy rain about five songs into the show It was a mess but the music went on. Meanwhile, a friend of mine was about ten miles away at another outdoor concert featuring the remnants of Badfinger and they were bone dry. You never know with summer rain, especially this summer, but based on my Atlanta experience, I am optimistic that the show will go on! As a footnote, we were amazed at how many people bailed on Paul due to some rain. Incredible.

I just checked and the forcast says 30% chance of isolated t storms. So if it does rain/storm it shouldn't be doing it all day.

As for the rain issue, it POURED almost the entire way through the first Citi Field show in 09. Lightening too, if I do recall. Show went on. I wasn't on the field for that one, but it didn't seem to bother anyone down there. With that said, I do hope the rain holds off and Paul brings the sun with him to our nation's capital

Same experience in Atlanta in August 09. Rogue raincloud had it in for us (as Paul refused to play Rainclouds ) but rest of city was dry. Shocked by how many bailed out from Piedmont Park due to some summer rain. Not pleasant but great show anyway.

Yeah, I guess that's the chance we take attending an outdoor summer show. They are amazingly fun when the weather cooperates, but once mother nature has a hissy fit, watch out! I was so upset with the weather in Brooklyn.. the downpour and high winds spoiled our chance of limo watch, my hair got soaked and frizzy just walking from the parking garage to the venue, and my makeup ran. In bad weather, it's not so fun being a lady! lol

This preshow event is free for everyone...right? I noticed some sellers on Craigslist touting it as part of the package if you buy their tickets fro them!

Hopefully there will be enough signs for Sections 4, 5, and 6. It would be amazing if everyone in all 6 front floor sections had a sign but that would be an awful lot. Sounds like there will be plenty for Paul to see either way and I'm sure he's going to love it! I think it's great that the venue is throwing that pre-game party and those of us with field seats can get our wristbands early. Anybody have any idea where the limo may arrive? Hope to be there by 4 p.m. So, so SOOOOOOO excited!
-
sankavarmuch, nothing in the posted message mentioned a cost to attend the pre-party so I'm assuming it's free. Seems like if there was a charge that there would be a link to purchase a ticket. By the way, thanks for posting all the info earlier. VERY helpful!

Do you need a wristband to access the field seating? Or is it just for VIP seating? I have a field seat but it is way back in row 32 though it is an aisle seat
-
What is the purpose of a wristband :
-
I believe the wristbands are so that they know you belong on the field seating.
