Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors

He could do Coachella again right? It would have been 7 years since he played it. Or Paul could start his own four day festival. 4 days of McCartney music - every song he's ever written. McCartney Fest or Paulapalooza.
^^^^^ if he did this I would die. I would pay $$$$$$ to see this. Or if he started having GA floor at his concerts, or at least a split floor (one half GA other half seated to cater to the, ahem, older audience members ) U2 charges $275 for a top ticket but $70 for GA floor spots. It can be done Paul.
If you want to stand for that length of time, be my guest. No GA Floor for me ever again. Age has nothing to do with it. I'll pay for a seat, thank you very much!
I feel the same way. The last Vegas show was rough. I paid good money to get in early ahead of the pack only to have people push and shove their way to the front. It was hard not to lose your temper.

Same here. After the horrible experience we had at Outside Lands, there is no way I will ever do GA again.

I think GA is the way to go! Gives people who can't afford expensive tickets a great chance to get close to the stage by queeing early, and besides, standing is generally more fun. Feels like you're a part of something bigger

This. Still blows my mind that there are any rock and roll gigs with seats at all. Never experienced this rare thing outside Paul McCartney gigs anyway, and I go to many-a-gig a year.

GA also eliminates the annoyance of people telling other people to sit down if one should get up and decide dance along, or God forbid, enjoy themselves at a gig!

GA more common in other parts of the world than in the US for larger gigs. Many people in the US don't like to stand. And it is not necessarily an age thing. I will do GA in smaller venues or for certain artists such as Springsteen. And for Paul, if I am on the floor I am standing anyway for the whole show, so standing for 3 hrs is no big deal. But the pushing/shoving nonsense that goes with GA is what I won't deal with. People don't respect that you have been there for hours already and want to shove by you. I dont like wasting the concert trying to defend my spot from idiots who think they can get by me. That is one reason why no festivals for me.

I am all for standing on the main floor, as I do it during concerts myself. My issue with GA is because it's GA there are always tons of rude and annoying ones that push and shove their way in front of those who got there hours before them and block their views. There is no way to stop this as they will do what they want. Therefore I will never do a GA again to see Paul in concert.

Same here...I am standing with floor seats anyway...but I paid for this space. No one is pushing me out of it.

I agree with all of you about GA. And, if you are not a tall person, seeing the stage is a futile exercise.

Both of you, my friends, are right. The Macca concerts I enjoy the most are the ones in Brazil, always GA and a party. No fucking morons asking you to sit the fuck down during "Back in the USSR". This is a rock and roll concert, not a movie. If you want to sit down, get a seat on the side. In front of the stage there should be GA. In Brazil most concerts are GA and Paul loves it (and the money too)

General Admission has a time, a place, and a price..........and Paul does not have ANY of them...
-
I remember paying USD 1180 for a front row seat in Chile and a lady behind me spent the whole concert pulling from my t-shirt asking me to sit down. Then security asked me to sit down as well. Fuck it. Gimme a general admission ticket any day.

Most people know when to sit and when its ok to stand. I dont want to spend 1500. dollars to look at someones back and their sign the entire concert. Its just rude to keep standing when everyone else is sitting. When you hear the first chords of yesterday sit the **** down! lol
