Off topic...but watching The PETA concert from 99... Just afer Try Not To Cry and before Lonesome Town, Paul grabs a cup and has a good swig of (presumably) water. RARE TO SEE!
Wow! WAY off topic!! It must have been water!
I assume that moptops's point is that Paul never drinks anything during his shows usually. (In my days in coffeehouses, I found that even water had the potential to make me want to belch in the middle of singing!) So are we now talking about the tour continuing as "OUT THERE"? I thought it was officially over.
I know. And I was joking! Because it really was off topic! My understanding is OUT THERE is over. From articles and comments made by band members and Paul himself. Yeah, belching in the middle of a song can be a problem. Also, if you do a near 3 hour show with no break, need a bathroom break can be a problem too!
However, it sounds as if these Japanese shows in the spring are being rescheduled from last spring, not new dates. That would lead me to believe that this is still the Out There tour.

When I saw Paul "Out There" in Atlanta Oct. 15th, he took a drink of something during soundcheck!

That may be the case. The set list will tell all!

It's not over till the boss says so. Or until we hear a new name for the tour. And even then...well...you know.
Are you implying the tour name changes but the set list remains the same?
Anyone willing to bet he includes the Hope For The Future in his next concerts? Now there is a bathroom break!!

I saw he did that in Tokyo too. He drinks something prior to going on stage. How does he not have to splash the boots?!!!

Especially those comments made me have a final bit of hope they will continue with the current setlist, before more damage is done. They always announced "final dates" for a tour, this time "for the year", from McCartney's PR team to the individual band members.

Yeah, it could very well be OUT THERE will continue in 2015 and he'll take it to Europe, UK, and Australia/New Zealand. That would be cool.

Honestly, does it really matter? 90% of the set list will remain the same, even if they call it a new tour. At least changing a couple of the songs would make it somewhat interesting.

The thing is that only people like us (i.e., serious fans) know that 90% of the setlist is likely to remain the same and we will go the show either way. To some casual fans, the perception that it's a different tour might be enough to tip the balance as to whether they buy a ticket or not. There are several signs that the Japan 2014 dates didn't sell as well as the Japan 2013 dates (e.g., no second night in Osaka, despite expectations; Tokyo tickets still available on the day; Tokyo tickets given away with the tour version of New; extremely late announcement of the Budokan show). To be sure, it probably didn't help that the shows were only six months after the previous tour and there's probably more demand now (especially after Paul's health scare, which will have people wondering whether 2014 will be his last visit), but I think it's a safe bet that a change of tour name wouldn't hurt ticket sales and would almost certainly help.

Excellent points.

It's Paul McCartney in concert. Nobody cares what the tour is called.

Paul has mentioned that he would like to do Temporary Secretary live. That would be an awesome surprise.

Not now he has mentioned it.

Paul also mentioned in Bass Player magazine that Silly Love Songs is one of the most enjoyable bass lines to play live. Yet he hasn't played it live since 1976. I wouldn't get any hopes up of him doing Temporary Secretary live. Anything is possible. But THAT track???
