Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors

Melbourne to Tokyo, what 10 hours odd? Been there, done that. Not going there again for him. He can come here...but he won't. Que Sera Sera.

You can sleep the whole 10 hours and wake up in Tokyo! Congrats to Japan fans, then time to change the tour and setlist, Paul!

but before he drop the 4 "new" songs we EU fans like to get them live! After that a complete new setlist is absolutly welcome (but surely never happen...)

If I went back and he didn't change the setlist, I'd be pissed off. If I don't return and he changes the setlist, I'll be pissed off.

I find it a bit odd that it's still the "Out There" tour, Thought for sure it would change by now.

I guess he's proud of his NEW album and wishes to keep promoting it live. Since the tour name is still Out There, I guess the setlist will be the same, maybe adding "Appreciate" with the robot?

Either that, or perhaps the robot would make an appearance as a DJ / opening act kind of thing.

At this point in the two year old OUT THERE tour, the only think that really gets my attention is the possibility that robot might show up at a show.

He's making up for the shows he missed last year first. There will be more I'm sure.

The 1979 tour featured a little robot onstage during "Goodnight Tonight". It would be nice to have that song back in the setlist, with or without the big robot, which could also be used during "Temporary Secretary". And while we're dreaming, it's time to bring "Silly Love Songs" back as well.

He should wheel out the bubble headed booby, dress as Zachary Smith and play the theme to Lost In Space!

This will be interesting: The last show was over 5 months ago It's still considered the "Out There" tour Will the setlist reamin the same??? (Keep in mind, Japan already had the "new" setlist in November, 2013). Comments??

These Asia shows will be the last under the Out There banner? Is that the popular opinion? If they are, and you consider they are in essence make up shows for the aborted tour, you'd see no reason for setlist changes. Perhaps if there are changes, I could see All Together Now, Listen To What The Man Said and the New songs from 2013 ripe for rotation ...at least for Japan. What intrigues me is what would the setlist have been for those aborted concerts there...just a short 6 months after the earlier tour.

I agree...the only change to last years aborted tour seems to be (possibly) the addition of "Appreciate"...and who knows what else if anything. But, I can't imagine these upcoming shows having the same setlist we've seen in Japan in '13 and the States in '14.

He should leave in the NEW songs & add more solo songs, deleting some tired & worn Beatles songs.
-
But if there are changes, you'd think they would be minimal. After all, do we think Paul could really be shagged rehearsing up a batch of new stuff for these few shows? The other side of the coin is even if we get 2 or 3 songs not played before, it's gold dust...

Something tells me he'll keep the Out There name this whole year again, if he's planning on hitting some places he has missed throughout the past two years. The most significant thing he's got coming this year is the animated film soundtrack, and that seems unlikely to inspire a new tour name, I would think. Probably just minor tweaks to the set list. Or perhaps he'll surprise us with a brand new album, Legacy Almost Tarnished.

I view this as more of a re-scheduling rather than a brand new announcement so I'm not sure why there's any surprise about it still being the Out There tour. He cancelled Out There dates, so naturally rescheduled them. That being said, I don't think it rules out the possibility of a brand-new tour this summer, but I do think it is unlikely. He did that in 2011 with a snippet of the Up and Coming Tour in the spring, and then On The Run kicked off in NYC.
-
I can see him keeping the Out There name in April/May and then changing it for the US concerts in the summer. Otherwise it would be the third consecutive summer touring the US using the same name. After all, as WixRocks! mentioned, he did a few shows in South America in November 2010, a few more in May 2011, ended the "Up And Coming" tour with a couple of US concerts in June and then began a new tour (On The Run) just a month later in the US.
-
He is doing OUT THERE in Japan in April. If he starts touring the USA in May, when will he rehearse a new tour? I doubt he will do anything new in 2015, except for maybe a song or two. Also, he needs to hit markets that have not had the OUT THERE tour. Or maybe not. Two years later, places like Tulsa may be ready for a second helping of the same entrée.
