It's hard to believe that "New" has been out for nearly 18 months now and he has yet to "promote" it in Europe...
Europe has let us down in the past. Poor attendance, cancelled shows. He may never play there again.
Maybe Europe is tired of seeing virtually the same show?

Agreed. The sappy tributes, the same 25-30 tunes with the occasional gem, as well as inflated ticket prices have alienated the Euro fans. Sad as we had such a strong base here.

It's all about money, and that's why the European fans never get to hear 'Listen To What The Man Said', 'Hi Hi Hi', 'Eight Days A Week' and 'Your Mother Should Know', and by the time he ever gets back those will be swapped for 'Drive My Car' and 'Hello, Goodbye' again.
Actually some Euro fans have actually listened to those songs in his brief 3 dates European tour. Of course some more Eropean dates are long overdue but he has played Europe in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and the strange thing is that he has played two dates in Italy in 2011 then he came back in 2013 when he also played in Poland. Poland and Italy are not, as you know, so helthy from an economical point of view but he played there anyway, all dates sold out and I don't think he has lost money doing those shows. So I see the economical matter as an excuse. I have been lucky to attend all the three Italian shows + 1 in Switzerland so basically the same area and they were all completely sold out, soundchecks included !

The UK/Europe are certainly due a Paul concert and aside from the 3 cities he played in 2013 people would get to hear some new songs that wernt done on his last visit. I can understand why he rested this market for a few years but now would be the right time to revisit, and Queen and Adam Lambert have just completed a UK tour which was successful so no reason why Paul cannot do the same.

Hello. A fan from Korea. First post here. As we're waiting for the official announcement of the long waited Korea show, the promoter has been running this teaser ad on TV since last Friday. Thought I'd share here.

Heard some rumblings about another Fenway Park concert this summer - hopefully all this snow will be melted by then...LOL

That was just two years ago as well...I find it hard to believe he'd go back already this summer. I know they have limits on the number of concerts they can have per summer due to their neighborhood and seeing as Billy Joel is already playing there over the summer, I'd imagine any other concerts would be representing genres other than classic rock as it were.

"us" ? What poor attendance/cancelled shows? The 2009 and 2011 were all sold out. The only Paul shows that had a problem selling as far as I remember were the US shows in 1993 after which he fired the guy who had put him back in the saddle in 1987... But yes I suppose I can do without seeing the same "sappy tributes" for the third time. Ironically the one "gem" he played in Paris in 2011, "Come and Get It", left most of the crowd scratching their head...

According to billboard, there were many shows that went with several tickets. Horsens was cancelled shortly after.

Horsens and Boston have nothing to do with each other. Different countries, different markets.

Yep, I had tickets to Horsens and I'm still waiting for those "soon rescheduled" dates.....

I'm curious about the current financial situation in Europe and the UK: would it be difficult for promoters to come up with Paul's fee? And how hard would it be to sell out a stadium/arena, plus VIP packages?
Out of curiosity what is Paul's usual fee to play?

Close to 4 million since 2012 per show (3. something, someone should may have the correct amount if I'm wrong), no matter which country.
-
The info I got is around 4 Million per show, at least in South America. Mi amigo Miguel is right.

And I think the rate is pretty much the same for North America amigo, Mexico included. Listo para mayo? saludos
-
I thought it would be more than that, but 4 million pounds or dollars or whatnot isn't just chopped liver, is it

Let's do a crowdfunding/kickstarter kind of thing for a McCartney concert. I've got five dollars, who else? We just need another $3,995,000.00 now. Those who believe the legacy has been tarnished will get a special seat at the back of the venue, by the way.
