Well, THAT is exciting!!! More dates in South America!!! :
Yes! I am glad we share the excitement, Mr. Martinez!!! Hopefully you can come along this time!
Ha ha!! No, I won't step one foot outside New Mexico to see him. So that day is done! But enjoy!
Just you wait: if they build a new stadium or arena in Albuquerque, Paul will be there in a blink!
Albuquerque is never going to build a new arena or stadium. It is a VERY divided and non-progressive city in that respect. There have been numerous attempts to build a new arena (we don't even HAVE one!) and they all stalled. The current mayor has NO ambitions in that area. We have a very nice, new baseball stadium (Isotopes Park) that seats about 12,000 but concerts are never held there. Our college football stadium (UNM Stadium) seats 39,000 and has hosted the Rolling Stones and Metallica, but nothing since 1997. Our football team sucks, there is no way a new stadium could be justified. They average about 19,000 a game!! Someday maybe. But Paul will be long retired by then. Or maybe not!!!
Or... you could get your ass on a plane like the rest of us do I saw Paul 17 times now plus 1 soundcheck and hopefully I will reach the 20 mark one day!
Um.... NO! Eight times is enough for me. The only reason I could justify being at ANY show, Paul or anyone else, is if they perform in Albuquerque. If not, I don't go to concerts anymore. And I honestly do not feel I am missing out on anything. I've seen everyone I want to see who I could see. And I could actually go to Denver or Phoenix or Las Vegas. Or Lubbock. But I choose not to. I'm not putting anymore of my money in that direction. If he comes here, I will pay top dollar for a ticket. But those are the only circumstances I will do it. I have a feeling you will reach the 20 mark! And hats off to you!

Thank you Mr. Martinez. I think that flying to another country to see a concert is an experience no one knows how cool it is until they experience it!

Carlos, where did you read about Argentina ? Thank you.
You're welcome. It's just a rumor, hopefully negotiations will be successful this time.
We just need 8 million in cash for 2 shows at River Plate Stadium!
We're not even getting Ringo this time. At least 'Romeo Santos' is playing at River Plate, right ?

Haha, get used to it, there's no place for big acts in Argentina anymore. Anyway, back on topic, if Paul's going to play SA next year my guess it's that I'll be like the beginning of 'Out There', with Brazil is getting at least 2 or 3 dates. Then, who knows, maybe Mexico, a few dates in the USA and definitely he has to put some Europe gigs.

What about Bolivia, Venezuela and Panama?

Fair enough! I have never done it, so cannot speak to it. Perhaps I should say, "Never say never." ANYTHING can happen in this crazy life!

How do you sneak your lucy on the plane? No way I'm wasting a McCartney show seeing it sober.

It's over. Let's see what 2015 brings!

So that Syracuse rumor I posted earlier in the thread... it turns out it's going to be Billy Joel in March, not Paul. Oh, well. Still cool nonetheless.

That IS cool! I wish Billy Joel would play Albuquerque. He played here once in 1979.
-
I wish Billy would tour South America. He never did and probably never will. You lucky Americans!

I didn't see where anyone officially said that OUT THERE was over as a tour name, though it probably is about time to re-brand it. The only thing that worries me is, if it's no longer called OUT THERE, will there be fewer "New" songs?

It says at the beginning of the article, here is the quote: The end of Paul McCartney 'Out There!' tour is the subject of a two-page ad in the latest issue of Billboard, dated Nov 29, that was published on Nov. 28. The ad, which features the logos of McCartney's MPL Productions Ltd., Marshall Arts USA, Concerts West, TMG, GoldenVoice and AEG Live, features a huge picture of McCartney spread over the two pages with the words ?Paul, with you OUT THERE, the world is a better place. Sixteen amazing sell outs! Thank you.?

They're just referencing the current tour though aren't they? i'd be amazed when the next live shows are announced it wont be under a different name, the OUT THERE tour has run its course, time to call it something new.

Yes, the current tour. That is what we are discussing. The end of the OUT THERE tour, like the quote says.

The article says it's the end of the tour, but nothing in the quoted ad copy indicates that. Speaking of which: sixteen sell outs? I thought almost every show was a sellout, and there have been quite a few more shows than sixteen since early 2013. How is this being measured? Wikipedia shows at least 35 sell outs since the beginning of the OUT THERE dates, and even if you just count the U.S. dates from 2014, that's 21 sellouts, according to the numbers.
