When my fellow Europeans wake up and check this forum to see, in lost hope, whether there might be a little rumour about one gig in Paris, they don't know what has hit them!
Indeed, this was amazing news to wake up to!
Pleasebereal.
It's real! All that needs to happen is for the dates to be confirmed by Paul...
-
Ha, I'm sure it is. I just want it confirmed now!
-
Do his Euro concerts usually offer the "will call" option to pick tickets up at the box office?
-
I have not heard of the pick up at the box office option in Europe. I guess rather not. However, the venue in Amsterdam has a print yourself option, like an airplane ticket

I ordered my tickerts for the cologne concert 2011 thru fan presale and got them ~3h before the concert at the box office. for the moment I miss a concert here in germany... but the amsterdam gig is nearly "booked"
-
Yes, he's coming back: 7 june in Amsterdam
Unconfirmed, though... http://nu.nl/muziek/4005214/paul-mccartney-7-juni-ziggo-dome.html (Article in Dutch)

This is so perfect. My own little country, totally unexpected - 2009, 2012, 2015, spoiled! - announced more than 3 months in advance, dates in perfect arenas. Now fingers, everything, crossed for general admission standing, as we always have, and as he always did, over here. Group of at least 20 persons I know alone already buzzing for this gig, will be dreadful to not be able to experience it together, as it should be.
This is a huge letdown, for the first time it's all seated. There goes the group experience, there goes the atmosphere and buzzing and energetic crowds. Ah well, I forgot to mention earlier how perfect it is that it for once doesn't clash with anything, and he stays out of here during the already overly busy festival period of late June, so I guess that evens it out.

They certainly do, but never ever ever do that with standing tickets, that screwed me over in Bologna so bad, worst place I ever had during a McCartney gig because of the total incompetence of the organization in every single way thinkable. Always go for e-tickets, gives you the full flexibility, also in terms of when you have to sell your tickets on.

All seated? For all the dates? What's the source for that?

Sorry, I was talking about the Amsterdam gig. "All seated", as in, not even standing on the floor as we are used to. edit: Standing after all.

The link to the decadent champagne packages is live as well: http://www.eventtravel.com/paul-mccartney-tickets-europe-2015
-
Thanks for the link, some packages have "front row" and others have GA so I guess we'll find out tomorrow which venues are seated only and which ones have GA...
-
Regarding the VIP packages, there is a warning: "Bespoke information packs and tickets sent in advance". Does that mean the bag with merchandise and tickets will be sent in the mail? Was it that way in previous years? I mean, when you get a VIP package in South America they just send you an e-mail (a few days before the concert) saying where and when you should go to. Once you are there (day of the concert, special entrance at the venue) they give you a bag of merchandise, your ticket and then you have access to a reserved area to eat and drink before soundcheck. Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but if they want to send stuff in the mail, it's possible the package will not arrive before the customer has left his country, especially for those who live outside Europe.

Just to clarify: I just checked with the organisation, since I couldn't believe what they were doing. Standing tickets after all. The information on the website of the venue/organisation was wrong. By far the best deal of this EU tour.

Congrats to all my pals in UK and Europe on the announcement!!! I may try for Liverpool but $1800+ airfare my derail that. Lots of decisions to make today but for many, the scheduled shows announced today end July 9th so lots of possibilities if they want to continue through July and August. Stay tunes as we all wait to see how it all pans out.

Sounds like you're saying there won't be any more dates in the U.S. before July 9, besides the Firefly festival. I imagine he'll have his time with Bea somewhere in that gap, probably between Firefly and Roskilde?

Horsens, anyone
? But the wording of the press release seems pretty definite. Normally there's always some kind of "check back for more later" kind of conclusion if there's more to follow.
