Get Well Soon, Paul

Paul is in uncharted territory. Almost 72 years old and doing multiple nights of shows around the world that are almost 3 hours in length in which he switches instruments and sings at every range. By this point, Frank Sinatra could barely read his classic's off a teleprompter and did quick, no fuss shows in casinos. The only example of an older performer who works as hard as Paul that I can think of may be B.B. King. [/img]
One Mick J. says hello Good points though, these guys are keeping everyone young but it won't last forever, let's enjoy it while we can!
Yes, but Mick is part of a band so he shares the workload with other musicians and vocalists. Plus, Mick only plays guitar on like one song, and his vocal range is much more limited than Paul's. In fact, lately Mick has been "talking" more than "singing". Lastly, The Rolling Stones tour only a smidgen of how much Paul tours - not to mention that a Paul McCartney concert lasts 2.5+ hours and a Stones show is less than 2. Paul goes from tenor to soprano to falsetto all night, with some songs a subtle whisper and others a screaming roller coaster. Plus.......I've never seen Paul McCartney drink a sip of any liquid during a concert. I play in bands and can barely get though 2 or 3 songs without a drink of water, and I'm in my 30's. I don't know how he does it.

Great News! The longer someone stays in a hospital, the more worrisome it can become. To not only be out but to be airborne on the way home is the best of all possible results. Bon Voyage!!!!!!!

Much as I hope it's true, it hasn't been reported anywhere else.
-
He'll be safely back at home long before the official announcement is made. That's how our boy rolls.

As I reported today, it's now been posted by tour organizers in Japan. They say he left the country on the 26th, which in Japan was yesterday. http://www.examiner.com/article/paul-mccartney-released-from-japanese-hospital-concert-organizer-says

Oh that is a relief. He is out of the hospital? That means he'll be back on his feet very soon for now he should take a week or two to rest up in order to continue on with his Out There tour.

Just got the good news 2 minutes ago. Hey, I was right, I thought he was out yesterday. Too funny. Rock on but don't overdo it yet, please.

So glad to hear that Paul is doing well. I was worried for him for a few days. What is it about Japan and Paul? Every time he goes there something awful happens! Glad he is home and resting!

Bunwhisper: Funny you should say that about Japan, it is what I was thinking. This whole thing has a feel of deja vu about it. Being in the hosp had to have been much like that other time in Japan. I don't know, seems like some strange Karma to me.
