That is just so cool!!!! But.....very deserving. "Revolver" is without a doubt....as far as I'm concerned....The Beatles' very best and most creative albums, and that is saying something considering their prodigious output in such a short period of time. So pleased for them....and for us now that we can hear everything that is...and has always has been....there!!!

@njr I only recently learned that Klause placed a photo of himself on the "Revolver" album cover. He was quite cute! (I'm gay.) And looked very Beatle-ish. I knew he and Astrid befriended the band in Hamburg.....right off. It's interesting that Klause remained close to the band members throughout the years....and still is.

@thefool when John was talking about redoing Beatles songs, was he talking about himself as a solo artist, or the Beatles re doing them?

@beatles4ever I personally wouldn't touch any remixed albums with a Barge pole. Just saying like.

Klaus was (and still is) quite cute! 😉 I met him during Beatleweek 2016 and he signed my original mono copy of Revolver.

                  Hello all,

If this is not allowed, please delete it. Two days ago, my review of the Revolver CD box set was posted online. The link is below.

Until the Anthology in 1995, I don't think we ever thought we'd hear these Sessions type tracks properly released by The Beatles and Apple. The two Sessions discs in the Revolver box set are just tremendous. Got To Get You Into My Life with the fuzz tone guitars instead of the horns; John's work tape portion for Yellow Submarine; Rain played at the actual speed and on and on. It's really something that Giles and Sam were able to demix the parts from the four track tape and create the new mix.

@wandy Strange fellow was John. I think his comments on things sometimes depended on which side of the bed he woke up on that morning. As for the rest of the Beatles redoing Beatles songs, well I really can't see RG or Paul agreeing to that at all. Ringo never liked redoing the Beatles songs under any circumstances. I remember Paul saying on TV when he asked Ringo to drum on songs for Give My Regards To Broad St, Ringo said why? I've done them once, I'm not doing them again.

@wandy Oh, I love that they are slowly getting around to remixing the albums. One can hear so much more that was always there....and deserves to be heard. Without the remixes I would have no idea of just how powerful Ringo and Paul were together. The drums and bass just jump out of the speakers. The Beatles would have wanted that to be how they were heard had the technology existed back then. I simply can't wait for "Rubber Soul." We heard a remixed "Nowhere Man" on The Yellow Submarine Songtrack album quite some time ago....1999?? It was vastly superior to the version on "Rubber Soul." On much of that album the vocals are on one side and the instruments on the other. I know or have a sense of just how great every song on that album....and the singles left off..."We can Work It Out" and "Day Tripper" can sound. I would also definitely want the very first album remixed. The official one now is impossible to listen to in stereo. They should never have released it in stereo as the official version....just should have left it in mono....until it could be remixed which technology now exists to do.

Giles Martin has taken right where his late great father left off! Giles is doing some GREAT remixes! However, I've said this before, and I'll say it again, THE BEST SOUND QUALITY OF THE BEATLES LIES IN THE UNDERGROUND! I know, I own them all!

@beatles4ever-1 Yes I agree up to a point. I belive you need a sound system virtually as good as Abbey Rd Studios themselves to really appreciate the difference between the remastered stuff and the originals. Most ppl listen to their music on a Smartphone or a laptop, can you really get the benefit of the remasterd sound listening like that? I bought the remastered Walls And Bridges cd and I never noticed any difference AT ALL from my cassette bought in the 70s. Plus, in 5 yrs time they will be remastered all over again costing ANOTHER ÂŁ245, and today's remasters will be for sale on e Bay for ÂŁ30. I just see it as a licence to print money, no wonder Paul is a billionaire. Just my take on it, is all. I defend you're right to spend you're money how you dam well please. I personally am very happy with my 60s albums. I can still play them. I have my cds too.

I’m like Wandy in that I have a hard time telling much of a difference with the remasters. I still buy them all though! 😂

Hi Nancy! You guessed it, it's Bootlegs! The best Beatles sound quality is coming from Russia! There's a rumor going around that Dr. Ebbett's and Dr. Robert (Bootleg distributors) are using the "needle drop" process to make new master tapes for release on CD. The most famous transfer from LP vinyl to tape are The Beatles infamous Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (MFSL) vinyl releases from 1985. In my opinion, The Beatles MFSL releases from 1985 are the BEST sound quality EVER and blows away any new Beatles re-releases easily! Dr. Ebbett's and Dr. Robert has released the complete Beatles catalog using the 1985 Beatles MFSL vinyl releases and released them on CD. Believe me when I tell you that the sound quality of these Beatles CD releases are incredible!

@wandy Are you talking about remasters or remixes?? They are not the same thing. The remixes make a huge difference. Voices and instruments are properly placed in the mix. Remasters do none of that.
