Announcement in September--the release includes a Giles Martin remix.
Great! Then.....the one I really really want next is "Rubber Soul." All too frequently the vocals on the songs come out of one side of the mix and the instruments out of the other....very noticeably on "In My Life," one of their best ballads. The group recorded 16 great tracks during the session for the album....includining the single "We Can Work It Out/Day Tripper" left off the album. The band really hit their stride on this album! Having the whole batch remixed is what I have been waiting for! I believe the song "Nowhere Man" from the "Rubber Soul" album was remixed in or about 1999 for the "Yellow Submarine Songtrack" album. It sounds terrific and gives us an idea how great ALL of the songs from "Rubber Soul" can sound!

They were still touring at this stage also. Hopefully there will be some live recordings as part of the "Bonus Features"!

I don't have any exact quotes, but I do remember some John Lennon interviews where he wanted to go as far as recording so many songs again. Redoing them to have a better balance with the instruments coming through clearer and the better recordings being done. I have heard so many songs that have used today's techniques that have brought out a good sound. When I hear them I think for nano second that I don't remember it this way, but I know I enjoy and appreciate the way they are being redone.
For the time they were done as well as the equipment that they were working with. -
Good interview with Giles Martin and the contents of the deluxe versions are listed in the article:

I was reading in the new Revolver book about the "Yesterday...and Today" LP. Someone in the Beatles camp mentioned that instead of putting three new Revolver songs (I'm Only Sleeping, Dr. Robert and And Your Bird Can Sing) on "Yesterday and Today" the should have used the B-side of Help ("I'm Down") along with their new single...Paperback Writer and Rain.

@njr No, why? I'm not buying anything where I'd need to know that.

@njr Yeah, I posted it. Doesn't mean that I'm buying it.

@oobu24 Didn’t mean to imply you were. Was just making an observation! Maybe one of the other boardies might be interested.
