It's interesting is this, cos Paul does a pretty good "John" himself. He doubled the Real Love vocal as John sang it. I know when he did Two Of Us, his drummer harmonised the john part, but it wasn't powerful enough. Abe sounds too much like Paul. Bono would be stunning - he has the lennon power and rasp. Bono and McCartney sounded awesome doing Sgt Pepper. Who else could do it (not Julian!)? Bryan Adams? Neil Finn? Any other ideas?

To me Bono sounded flat and very stressed in the duet at Live8 He sort of rapped out his lines...

Willie Nelson... nah, just kidding! But he has a style of him own! Hard to say, Lennon´s sharp voice is so perfect with Paul´s, and I can´t come up with a singer with the right kind of voice...or the right attitude! Lennon & McCartney were the perfect match, and not forget George´s superb harmonies, also fitting in beautifully. I liked Bono´s go at it though.... Just a thought, Tina Turner´s voice blended very good with Paul´s at the Prince´s Trust. She could do it!

I personaly think Tim / Neil Finn or Jason Falkner or Michael Penn would do great. But nobody can REALLY replace John.

Lennon's hard to replace but he is easier to replace than Paul. Meaning there are singers out there who can do a pretty good Lennon impersonation and I've yet to hear someone who can do all Paul can vocally. Julian is almost a dead ringer for his dad. If you don't believe me pick up a copy of Photograph Smile. It sounds like a John Lennon album in song and voice. It's a fantastic CD. If I had to pick someone other than Julian, I'd pick Robin Zander from Cheap Trick. The man Rolling Stone once called "the man of a thousand voices" can do it all.

Think I'd go for Neil Finn. His voice is unsual, as it is like a mix of John and Paul.

Julian or Sean would fill in quite nicely I think.

Neil Finn is a good one, I vote for him!

There is no replacement for John. If I had to choose I`d say Liam Gallagher.

Sean for sentiment I guess? Julian is truly a great choice. His voice is very much like his father's!

Well, Sean`s voice is pretty much like John`s either; and I prefer Sean`s music to Julian`s.

Abe and Rusty both sang the part on "Two of Us" together, not just Abe. My favorite part about the Driving USA Tour was Paul singing "We Can Work It Out" solo and the audience (myself included) singing John's part (at least I did) with Paul. Just the energy and feeling of Paul performing it solo on stage was amazing!

Julian Lennon is hands down the best John Lennon replacement in the entire world, Julian's stuff is awesome in its own right.
