      Sigh... But glad he's alright.

He's coming to Detroit's Fox Theatre; probably his first time playing Detroit proper since the '66 tour. HOWEVER, for the first time since 2001 I'll be skipping this tour. The main difference with skipping this over the 2001 appearance in Michigan is I've now seen the same set up performers/performance twice with this band. I'm extremely happy he has found a band he wants to play with since 2012 BUT it now has become predictable and sorta played out. I'm done hearing Broken Wings for the fourth time since 2010. I think Ringo will substitute two songs from PFP in place of Wings and Anthem and that will be the only difference. I hope the Michigan folks whom missed him at DTE last summer get to see him downtown this October but this is a pass until he has a revamped lineup or significant changes in the setlist.

Looking at going to one of the October concerts...does Ringo have a fan club that does presales? Just saw on his website that you can sign up for mailing list but I'm not sure what that provides

Nope...I've never done a presale for Ringo and have had great seats all four times. One of those I got VIP tickets (the last time he was in Baltimore) so I'll probably do that again. We had fifth row center seats for $250 AND merchandise which actually cost LESS than buying a normal ticket in that section on Ticketmaster....don't ask me how!

If Ringo is playing at a casino sometimes the people that have a players club card for that casino get a pre-sale.

Thinking of going to the Detroit show October 18. Just wondering when the tickets might be going on sale. How soon before the show does Ringo usually go on sale? Thanks for any info.

I already got tix for the show in NJ in October, almost 2 weeks ago. If you're not already on the venue's or Ticketmaster's email list, I suggest you sign-up so you'll get a notification. Good luck! (I actually had an easier time using the venue web site to buy the tix; I was having a hard time with Ticketmaster, but it was fast and easy, with more choices, going directly to the venue's site. Something to keep in mind.)

I think the lack of the extra 'r' gets him around any copyright/trademark issues, lol.

It's funny, it seems like it was a much more common phrase before Ringo came up with his version of it. I haven't noticed anyone using it for a while.

George Clinton has been touring with the P-Funk All-Stars as his backing band for decades now.
