I agree wholeheartedly! Fantastic film! Long lines and almost full at both showings tonight in Encinitas. People of all ages, mesmerized, clapping and cheering during the film. It was awesome!

Don't know whether to watch this or not tickets are quite expensive for the cinema at ?17 each
Yikes! It's $12 here (about 15.60 GBP)
12 $ are not 15.60 Pounds, more like 9.25 (1 $ equals around 0,77 GBP)
Sorry, am confused. I bought items in the U.K. with a credit card. One item was 15 GBP. The cost charged me was $19.65. ($1.31/pound) So your tickets cost 17 pounds. (Sorry, my keyboard doesn't have the symbol) If I was in London and bought a ticket with a credit card, wouldn't they charge me around 17 x 1.31 = $22.27? http://www.x-rates.com/calculator/?from=GBP&to=USD&amount=17 I was incorrect about $12 equaling 15.60 GBP. What I should have said was "Wow! Your ticket is 17 pounds which is $22.27. Our tickets are only $12."

Saw it tonight--it was really, really good!!! (I won't mention specifics stories from the film, for those who have not seen it yet, but overall....) Ron Howard did such a wonderful job illustrating why the Beatles are the best music group ever, that no one has created that type of phenomenon before or since. In press interviews, Ron said he wanted to focus on the 'story' and he really did, there was a lot of emphasis placed on their collaboration and friendship within the band. My favourite aspect, though, was the sound, love hearing all the music in such good quality (John's voice, Ringo's drums...). It was a great documentary. (On a side note: after so many comments on Twitter and Facebook about how these showings have been sold out, people singing and cheering along during the film, long line ups, adding extra showings...well, not where I went tonight!! The place was almost dead!! And this is the only theatre playing this film in my city (I think so anyway). Me and my brother couldn't believe how dead it was, we were in the smallest auditorium and it only had a handful of people. People were enjoying themselves, but I was so surprised how quiet it was in there, after all the hype I've been reading on social media over the last few days. Anyways, atmosphere or not, me and my brother had a great time and the documentary is fantastic--so I am happy. )

Hi Apple Scruff! I am so happy that you saw the film and enjoyed it What you said about the film was perfect. All I will tell our fellow Beatles fanatics, and I truly think that you will feel the same way, is that Ron Howard is truly a diehard Beatles fan! As for your auditorium being dead, that's okay, we made up for it here in San Antonio! I know of at least 5 shows being sold out on Thursday night here in San Antonio and we had some rowdy crowds. I even made sure that my crowd in the auditorium (1st show) would be rowdy seeing that I'm a rowdy person! Ha Ha! I got everyone screaming, laughing and singing in the auditorium. My voice was shot by the time my girlfriend, friend and I left. I had a great time and I wasn't even drunk courtesy of my girlfriend!

Awwwwwwwww...that adorable pic of Paul at the recent premiere wearing the same old jacket from that long ago Beatle thing...he really is a sweetie (been driving females crazy for over 50 years, though) !!
Susy you are right! Didn't realise it as the same jacket!!! Awww he's sentimental, isn't he? Just saw it tonite at my local theater. All the shows have been sold out! We also had the Shea Stadium part afterwards. We were getting a kick out of the fainting and screaming girls and people were clapping along to the songs. It's a must-see! Here's some videos and photos from Rolling Stone! ***Spoiler Alert*** http://www.rollingstone.com/music/features/beatles-new-touring-documentary-10-things-we-learned-w439371 It's playing for two more weeks, so I'm going again and getting the DVD when it comes out!

I'll save my review and first impressions from opening night to my podcast (listed below) in the next two weeks. So it will not be obvious on giving away anything for people whom have not seen it.

It's showing at one dinky little theater in a congested part of a metro area of 3.5 million people. Anyway, we just got back from driving down only to find it sold out. Looks like I won't be seeing it in a theater.

This was my experience too...up to the theater being empty. Everything was sold out Thurs, Fri, Sat. 4 shows, & Sun. 4 shows. They are playing it for two more weeks! Shea Stadium was so awesome, however he managed to tone down the screaming, was great!! Overall, really enjoyed it very very much and look forward to seeing it again, this time not in the first row. Loved how the audience clapped along! I think it's clear that there will be a part 2, because he glossed over things after the rooftop. Was thinking how much I'd love him to do a movie on Paul, post Beatles... To also include the whole of Paul's works including The Fireman and Paul's paintings, Ocean Kingdom and Ecce Cor Meu and the miriad facets of Paul. It would have to be more than a two part movie tho... The Genius named Paul, for posterity. I would personally watch it a lot !!! Why they could do one for each Beatle... You can see how they will all go down in history... I would love to see more that is not well know about Ringo, John and George! That would be awesome!!!

Went to see it today thought Eight Days A Week was amazing was great to see concert footage in colour eg The Washington Gig. Best bit of all was seeing the entire Shea Stadium concert after the film it sounded amazing. I was lucky enough to buy the last ticket for this afternoon being shown in a small cinema it Sold Out fast.

I was sorry to read that Ed Sheeran's bit got cut from the film...would have been nice to have a current musical artist included. Wonder who else got cut? https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/1806379/ed-sheeran-is-cut-from-the-new-ron-howard-movie-about-the-beatles/

I agree with Ringo
And the decision appears to have got the thumbs up from drummer RINGO STARR. He said on the cull: "When we saw the first cut there were a lot of other people doing a lot of talking, which I believe he's cut out now and it's mainly me and Paul talking and it's better."
I wish they would have cut more out.

Ha ha! I don't disagree...but since they did include some "talking heads" I question why they kept the ones they did. And I question some of the other bits I've read about being in the film. (I haven't seen it, yet.) I'll always go for more of the Beatles , please!

Congrats to all who had a hand in making this great Beatles film! It even included some footage from the '65 British tour...amazing!! Can't wait to see it again on DVD.

Why didn't you get tickets ahead of time? The schedule was posted on here and that's what the most of us did - tickets were sold through Fandango. I just saw it this afternoon at 3 pm - fantastic! The theater was not completely sold out, but was full. I got the crowd clapping at the end, and people also applauded for the George Martin memorium. We sang and did the hand claps to Eight Days A Week. Then during the Shea Stadium concert, some of us sang along. A splendid time was guaranteed for all!!
