I just brought the mono box set in from the mail box.

Today I bought the needed stereo remasters to complement the mono box. Target has the best price. With discount and $5 giftcard offer I paid only $20 for two discs. Also bought some Beatles themed mags: Uncut, Billboard and (from their website) NME. Still waiting for the Beatles issue of Record Collector (Oct.) to hit the stands.

I think you're the 2nd person who has said Target had the best prices on Beatles discs, I think I need to make a trip to Target!

The Beatles/1962-1966 Vinyl for $7.00 U.S. two weeks ago. "If you wanna' be there"..."vinyl is final!"

Hi, everybody! I just traded some old Dvds, Cds and Rock and Roll Books (that a friend gave me and didn't want back) for Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's..., Abbey Road and Past Masters 1/2. Total cost: 30 dollars. Yippee! Some day soon, I will spend 20 dollars more and buy the White Album (again). I already have all the 1987 CDs as well as the old vinyl (mostly import reissues), so I'm good to go for now. I just hope they reissue the mono stuff individually or else in a budget box, besides hoping for more Anthology type stuff or a general public legitimate release of The Beatles Christmas Album. That would be Groovy! Oh, well. Take Care and don't let the bad jokes bother you. Example: Why did the Beatles cross the road? A: To get the Album Cover Photo! Bye, Love Pat .

I got the Stereo Box Set, which sounds amazing. As well as the Beatles-related movie, Give My Regards To Broad Street, which I found to be quite fun!
-
I bought the remastered Please Please Me, Magical Mystery Tour, White Album, and a set of Beatles pin badges.
-
I bought the remastered White Album..couldn't afford the total package of remasters at once..so I'm buying them one at a time
-
Stereo Box Set for $199 and still loving it!!! It sounds AWESOME...

Bought a book "All Our Loving" written by one of the sixties fans who used to sit outside Paul's house in London in the late sixties. Also a DVD "The Beatles in 65" which is a collection of old newreel and concert footage. I also just ordered the remasters mono boxset, but according to Amazon.co.uk it won't arrive before October 1st I'll have gone mad waiting by then!

I see Beatles.com has announced a new Japanese store, but foreigners can't shop there : (yet, anyway).
The store will offer Beatles fans high quality products produced locally in Japan as well as selected Beatles items imported from other territories. Beatles Store Japan ? visit our new store!

My Beatles mono box set came today! And I also bought two Beatles DVDs-- just some performance DVDs. And then I also bought Gimme Some Truth (DVD) yesterday. They really do steal all of my money.

I was at SuperFresh today and they had the Beatles remastered CD's. So I picked up Rubber Soul. Since I'm old enough to remember the songs on the album I was surprised that Drive My Car is on it as well as If I Needed Someone to Love. Those songs weren't on the original album. Also I've just seen a face is not on the CD... Anyway I'm a little put off by that..not because I don't like the songs, it just messes up my brain a bit

Now you know how The Beatles felt when they came over to America to find out the albums they made in England had been cut up and shortened, and even remixed, by Capitol Records without their knowledge or consent. Especially the American versions of Rubber Soul and Revolver. So one of the provisions in their 1966 contract with EMI was that their album contents could no longer be tampered with or rearranged. But from the 13 original EMI albums and singles released in England, Capitol squeezed out 20 or so albums in America.

I do feel for you Americans honestly to have Rubber Soul & not have Drive My Car as the opening track is bizarre for me being English it just sets the groove for the whole album. To me it seems like an after thought to open up with I've Just Seen A Face which I've always know to precede Yesterday on Help Thankfully history can now be put correct
