The clock is made of foam? I saw a pic but I didn't realize it was foam.
Yes, it's foam
Maybe you could chisel out the center & use it as a computer case!

Hi all! I have two extra tickets for the upcoming show in Des Moines. Floor left, row 9 seats 1-2--which is the center aisle closest to Paul! Originally $700, but selling for $300. Also willing to sell a single! Hope to see you there.
???
Maybe got a upgraded ticket??
I hope so she's a big fan and a great person!

Is this the towel given out at soundcheck?
No it's a blue towel with black writing about 5 feet by 2 1/2 or 3 feet wide. On it says Paul McCartney one on one tour 2017. They're pretty nice. The one in your picture I saw at the stand outside the venue I think it was much smaller.

I saw the picture of the VIP items given out in Japan. I was hoping for the computer type bag I think that was given out. I still use my 05 Event travel computer bag every time I fly. It's getting old!

RE: Miami, FL - American Airlines Arena - 7/7/17 - RESCHEDULED
gnome:
What it all comes down to is something that singer-songwriter Jack Antonoff said in an interview on CBS this morning; if you find something to give you relief from life for five minutes or an hour you should try and do it forever. And this is why after countless shows I go to see him no matter what the setlist is or isn't. Seeing Paul (or Ringo) live is A great joy. The fact that they can still go out there on tour at their ages when other artists have long given up,for whatever reason, is remarkable, and a lot of it, in their own words, is because they love what they do, and it shows! Let's not debate the set list here, there's another thread for that. I like to hear about people's experiences at their shows whether it's their first or their 101st!
Good point that's why I keep going over and over, not necessarily relief just a hell of a lot of fun and enjoyment. For me it's always a little interesting to see the first show of the US tour. Miami was jumping and IMO he sounded strong. The sound check seemed shorter than usual, anyone else feel that way. (99th)

Great article: http://www.miaminewtimes.com/music/paul-mccartney-gives-the-people-what-they-want-at-aaa-9479116
Maybe it's this undeniable verve that made the show such a hit. Maybe it's the fact that so many music fans have a connection to the Beatles that we can't help but find something to like in the incredibly varied performance. I wouldn't call Paul McCartney's latest South Florida appearance a perfect show - he could stand to trim a few songs from the set - but it was damn close. And I know because what gave me hearing damage last night wasn't the bang of the fireworks or the crash of the drums: it was the cheering crowd, young and old (but mostly old), screaming for an encore.

RE: Miami, FL - American Airlines Arena - 7/7/17 - RESCHEDULED
We all have our opinions, but the only one that counts is Mr. McCartney's as far as what his setlist is going to be. I love his concerts and would enjoy hearing what I want to hear but that is not going to happen. Until it changes to expect anything different is unrealistic. There are threads for setlist discussions this is for the Miami concert so let's get back to topic.

RE: What's More Unfortunate?
MaccaBassman:
Let's discuss both sides here... I have a very strong opinion that I'll share but I in no way intend to offend anyone or want to start an argument. Like everyone here I just want to share my opinion. I have made some of my closest friends through Paul fans and we can all agree that Paul fans are the nicest and best fans in the world. So let's keep that in mind... So what is more unfortunate?? -The fact that Paul has for the most part stuck to a very similar setlist over the past few tours? OR -The fact that people continuously whine over the setlist/his voice? MY WHOLE HEARTED OPINION: The facts are the facts. Paul McCartney is a 75 year old man who can still hit more notes than I'll say 98% of the people on this board. If you expect to go to a McCartney concert and hear him sound EXACTLY like he did with The Beatles or Wings then DON'T GO and don't complain. As for the setlist... Listen, I love eating at Wendy's from time to time after a long gig. I was so mad when they changed the fries years ago. Boy I'd love to have the old fries again. Did it make me complain on the Wendy's board? Did I stop going? NO! Because I love the burgers, because I love the fake-chicken (Sorry Paul and all Veg's). My point is this; NO ONE here is a fan of Paul's solely based on what he plays at his shows. We love Paul for who he is, what he has meant to all of us our entire lives, or for some new fans just recently. With John, George, Ringo, Wings, and his solo career, he has created a soundtrack for MILLIONS of lives. Not just for my life, and not just for yours. Does everyone have the right to voice their opinion just like I am right now, for the first time after years of keeping it to myself? ABSOLUTELY. But C'Mon People (ah thank you) how many tours have some of you now made the same comments about the set? Has it done anything? Not really. Did you still buy tickets for this tour? Of course you did because you're going for a lot more reasons than just a setlist. We're all DIEHARD fans of Paul and everything related to Paul. I think sometimes we have to just remember that we make up maybe 5-10% of the people at each of those shows. He may be making the set list for 90% of the people there, but we can all admit once we leave, 100% of the people are happy. Could he throw out some "never before played" stuff? Would it be INCREDIBLE to hear? YEAH!! Look at how many different songs we've all heard since our first tour? How many different songs is that? I bet A LOT! Let's be grateful for what we all have been given by Paul over the years and still today. I'll end this as I'm sure the Birthday Boy would... I share my feelings with all of you with the absolute most PEACE and LOVE!! Hope to see you all very soon, so we can continue to build more memories together as THE BEST FANS IN THE WORLD!!!
Very eloquent, well said, and right on the money!! No matter what he played with his catalog there would be complaints. What a great problem he has!

Ringo's bday seemed to be any afterthought tonight as many were calling it out and Paul seem to pause and then acknowledge it. Now that Ringo announced his new cd will be released in September dies Paul miss out on a NYC press run on his new album; or is that now a 2018 release?
An afterthought? Seriously? He waited for the encore to play the Birthday Song, something he's never done before. But you're right.
An afterthought meaning he forgot Ringo's bday. He had been encoring BDAY the last two years.
He didn't forget. He was just letting the crowd yell it out.
I agree.

Just back from the show.... I could care less if he sang the same exact song 28 times in a row. I still love it I found his voice to be in excellent shape. He looke enthused and relaxed and genuinely happy to make us happy. band was absolutely killer as usual, they do not get enough credit. Bravo Paul! And Thank you! See you next time!
Thanks Steve agree 100%,... you wrote what I was thinking and going to post. I've seen him more than most but someone that was there tonight who I spoke to after the concert who has seen him many more times than I had basically the same thing to say as you. The crowd was very loud and definitely into the show. I can't wait for Tampa!! For me, and IMO another excellent show!!

I don't know about you guys, but the thing I'm most excited for this leg is the periscope broadcasts regardless of setlist. I'm not seeing him this leg, but may catch him in NYC. We'll see. My predictions are something else from Peppers, maybe Fixing A Hole (05 style, solo piano, tuned down) or Lovely Rita returning, or both. I don't know if it will happen, but I'd love to see Mrs Vanderbilt come back after a well needed rest for a couple years. My guess is that it'll be either Jet or Junior's Farm second in, and either Letting Go or Save Us or Maybe he'll throw in an extra surprise. maybe some other Wings or solo gem, since that's what usually fits in that slot. He did say something a while back about a Flowers tune, although we know his track record on that sort of stuff. Maybe LTWTMS will return? Or not. Wishful thinking, i know but not unthinkable. Regardless of setlist, I hope everyone has fun at the show, always a truly transcendent experience.
Would love to hear Fixing a Hole, Mrs. Vanderbilt, Juniors Farm, and especially Letting Go, or whatever he decides is fine by me!!! Just as long as HE is playing!! Just got here and can see the arena with the McCartney billboard! Getting psyched!!!
Bringing my kids, including my 7 year old.... his favorite songs are Eight Days A Week, and All Together Now. ... if only he was old enough when for the Out There tour a few years ago, when both were in rotation... sigh.
That's about the age when I first brought my son during the 05 tour maybe that's why it's my favorite! You will enjoy it that much more with your children and especially one as young as 7 IMO! I'm jealous
I started a bit earlier with my sons...5 and 3 back in 1989. And the best part is my younger one is still enjoying Paul with Dad almost 28 years later!!!
Nobody is as lucky as you my friend. You are both the ultimate McCartney fans. Climbed the mountain and back. See you in Ny Nj for his September Shows. My son in my avatar is now 21 6 foot 1 and is begging me to take down this picture! Not going to happen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
