Billy Joel just played there, and I think Elton is due to soon as well.
So it seems they are really hammering the vintage acts!
Would not be at all surprised if this show was announced for Paul.
After seeing the Stones there in November, and staying at the hotel, it is really great to just be able to walk down from your hotel room, grab a beer, and hit the show!
Sounds great. Was it more expensive than usual? That's what I heard.
Yes, unfortunately tickets were priced higher than normal because it was a much smaller venue than the stadiums that they played for the rest of the dates on the tour. I managed to get two floor tickets, which were general admission standing, for face value, so I felt quite lucky. I would think perhaps that for Paul it would be all seating?
But to reiterate my point above, just being able to hang out at the hotel / casino before AND after the show, without having to worry about transport etc. sure was great!
The Stones at the Hard Rock was a real good show! I thought the sound was excellent. I agree, enjoying the casino and bars without having to worry about transportation added to a great night. I thought getting in was going to be a problem. The people were lined up through the casino near the entrance. They opened the doors and I think I waited about 10 minutes to get in. There were a lot of small bars set up inside to get drinks. They did a good job with that concert.
I hope the rumors are true and McCartney gets back on the road.

Do you think we will see any tour dates for the fall? Eric Clapton just announced a flurry of fall dates in the US.
Maybe a residency in NYC again?
Hope so!!!!!!!

5/26/13 - MET YOU & YOUR WIFE!! (Memphis, TN)
Hi Nancy, Yes that was my wifes birthday, that was a great concert. We all had a pretty good party after the show if I remember correctly. Hope to do it again real soon!
Yes, we all walked to that bar across from the Peabody Hotel and you so graciously bought all of us two drinks each! (there were about a dozen of us there) 🥳
Yes, that's right, the Peabody hotel. Famous for the Ducks. I remember coming out of my room and the lobby was jammed with people. Then I saw the line of ducks.

Okay, here is my two cents on this topic.
I like his rule about playing his "Greatest Hits"because there will be members of the audience who have never seen him before and they wanna hear them. If I was one of those fans, I would be thrilled to see him and playing his big hits would be a dream come true for me. Ya know what? The first time I ever saw him was in May 2002. He played those greatest hits and it was a dream come true for me.
I have seen Paul 5 times now. The concerts were all nearly identical with a few songs changed up in the set list. I am a very blessed person to have seen him 5 times. As a first Generation Beatles fan, I could think of a gazillion songs that I would love to see Paul play in concert. But, ya know, it doesn't matter to me. As I say, play whatever ya want Paulie and thanks very much love.

Paul will play his last concert when he drops dead onstage! He'll probably be close to 100!
If there was a like button for your post, Nancy, you would get one like! Totally agree with you! He will bop till he drops! lol
There's a difference in him being unable to perform onstage versus he is kept from performing by other factors...
Agreed! He loves playing music, he's being safe because of Covid! ROCK ON Grandude!!! Yowww
Yes! We hope he'll rock on for quite a while yet! We love Macca, from Mop Top to Grandpop!
Keep on Rockin and Rollin
WHEN he plays again I will be there along with the rest of the fans at the sold out stadium, arena etc.!!!!! When Mr. McCartney does retire, if ever, It will be on HIS terms!

Never got to see Elvis (he passed a month before we were going to see him), Sinatra, John or George...The list goes on of artists I wish I could have seen at least once. So when people shake their heads in disbelief when they hear I have seen Paul more than 50 times and all the money I have spent on him I just smile back and thank heaven that he is still going strong and that I have the health and finances to be able to travel and enjoy his concerts!
Happy Thanksgiving to all!
Couldn't agree more! Happy Thanksgiving to all

No cuter than any other (REAL) fan who dresses up. Kids aren't special and don't deserve special treatment by audiences.
I bet you're fun to be around at Christmas...
I took my son, he loves Paul, he's had health problems since birth but has come on so well this last year it's amazing and given us great hope that he'll actually be ok. And my dad died suddenly in May this year, it's been terrible. So for me and my sister - still grieving our dad, and my son who no longer has his grandad, to meet Paul the grandude himself - moving and special. If someone grumpy feels kids shouldn't be there etc or "aren't special", i'm not speaking for all kids but i'd say my son deserved it more than whoever used it to sell a book on ebay as per the previous post, so stop being such a grumpy person. I had my long waited for and longed for child at the old age of 41 (he was born on Linda's birthday, so he's nearly 3), he's my world, he loves Paul, he is always setting up cushions as a piano and performing Queenie Eye - no one taught him to he just does it, and he recited it to Paul who sang it back to him, makes me so happy and he's still talking about it now.
Life is still pretty upsetting this year, but every magical moment i can take i will happily do so
Now it's time to say good night... good night... sleep tight Zzzz
(And it was a childrens book after all... Waterstones *wanted* kids to be there)
You Don't ever have to explain for being a great mom or enjoying THE MAN with your SON!! What you experienced was so VERY special and I hope you always remember it! I can't be happier for you!! Some people might not agree.. and that's fine.. but seeing it and experiencing it with your child,, WOW !!!!!!!!!! I've seen the MAN a few times and when it was with my son (in the avatar at age 8 or 9 ) it made it soo much more enjoyable! He's now 23 and he keeps asking me to change the avatar............NO WAY! A moment in time.
So happy your son is doing great!!!!!!!!
