LOL...I should've known. I had that book-maybe still have but haven't seen it since we bought the house 2 years ago. The funny thing is that I bought it years ago (at least in the 80's if not earlier) when I tried (and failed) to learn guitar then put the book away. I began looking for it something like 3 years ago when I began my own 'doodling' on a keyboard, found it, then promptly lost it again as we began our packing. It's probably in the attic. Btw, the only thing I vividly remember is Paul's drawing of someone rolling dice for With A Little Luck.

RE: Exciting New peradventures of James Paul McCartney...
One of two early 90's tour books (89/90 or 93) has a little story from Paul about the trouble he used to get into drawing naked ladies while in school. I'll have to look it up to see which one.

RE: Ringo's comment on the Paul/Bono performance at Live8
Tripping:
If Ringo didn't decide to be a no show and snub Live Aid, maybe he would have been shown some respect with Live 8.
He was invited back then? You mean we missed the opportunity to hear a rousing rendition of Druming Is My Madness or Wrack My Brain?? Shucks...

RE: Ringo's comment on the Paul/Bono performance at Live8
I get a little confused as to where Ringo's coming from given this comment in conjuntion with his previous comment that Paul and Ringo will never tour together. I figure the latter was true before even Ringo commented ever commented on it. But the way he said it had a measure of venom to it.

Podge, when I was browsing some of the Live8 sites (through some AOL links), they offered links to this site. That might explain the jump in the number of users here.

I thought that was Jerry Springer. It took me a moment to figure out that it was the one and only Phil Spector. LOL

A McCartney concert on the moon! Wouldn't that be neat? Sound doesn't travel in a vacuum though... so there may be a problem that would have to be worked out. I imagine he would just have to lip-synch. It wouldn't matter because it would still be great! Podgie (one small step for man...one giant leap for Beatlemania!) Monkey
If he could time it with the crescent moon phase, he could dub it the 'C-Moon' tour. He could debut his new song 'I Miss Gravity'.

He has a number one hit here at the zoo..."He Love Ewes, yeah yeah yeah" I think he may be up for the tour. Podgie (He said I can manage him!) Monkey
And he could do "Not Such a Baaaaa'd Boy" Don't know anything about a locked idea thread. Which one is it?
Of course he's still a little disappointed when a verse was left off a certain Off The Ground song, a verse he himself had written...It goes like this: I once saw a sheep who was learning to sing... Said he was just looking to sing with a Wing.... But everytime that sheep started to st-u-u-u-d-d-e-e-e-r... This bastard laughed his head off...(perhaps lack of rhyme killed it for him and shows why I'm not a song writer and should keep my day job : ) But what the hey, he still gets teary eyed during Little Lamb Dragon Fly. You see, the secret is out: he was the little tyke that Paul and Linda saw out in the field as they had mutton for the last time.

RE: Des Moines Thread - ARCHIVE
JimmyMcCullochFan:
who's going to the Des Moines show on October 27? I know I am
You almost get two shots at Paul. In the early eighties, I lived in Omaha, NE for a short while as my dad was stationed at the Air Force base there (Offut AFB) and I know it's only a couple of hours between Omaha and Des Moines: as you know, Paul is also playing in Omaha. I can't wait until fans say how Paul refers to people in Omaha.
