And I can understand Paul' s statement of the extended show times. But why did they shortened the Beatles shows from the marathon sessions durating with a couple of breaks nearly the whole night they did in Hamburg to the 30 minutes? How can that be satisfying for those hot-blooded musicians?

Basically, the answer is that that was just the way it was back then in the ‘60s. Then in the ‘70s with better sound systems and equipment, rock musicians began to play longer sets. It was just an evolution - one group started playing longer and then they all figured they had better play longer too!
