Ordered Best Buy exclusive. Had a $5 promo credit because it's my birthday month. Can't get the link to independent record store to add to cart and I want the cube. Called FYE records. Closest one is 2 hours from me. Won't reserve over phone. Guess I shall go for a drive. Sadly guy said they will be getting 10 cubes and none of their customers buy McCartney. He said he and two other employees will buy it and get the cube and doesn't think I need to worry. Will only let me reserve in store.
Mine won't add to the cart either.
Sorry, I'm going to edit my post so people don't try to use that site. It won't work for me either.

The cube is only available in store, not online, at FYE.

Updated with a few fixes. Your guide to buying the "NEW" album, all CDs out Oct 14 in UK and Japan, Oct 15 in US. (Of course, things could still change, and links could break, but it seems fairly solid now. Any errors, let me know.) Standard CD - with 12 tracks, plus 13th hidden track: Scared (with bonus lighted cube at some independent stores - and FYE only if you arrive in person - can't pre-order online, but may have to reserve by phone - call ahead to be sure) Amazon US: http://amzn.to/19GquHQ Amazon UK: http://amzn.to/1ahlpqi independent store with cube: http://www.streetlightrecords.com/Promo/1986. - just an example; link is defective, can't add product to cart Vinyl LP - with 12 tracks, not clear if hidden track is included; release pushed back to November 4 in UK, November 15 in US (and note that if you buy through Amazon, you won't get the AutoRip MP3s till the release date!) - already available in some other countries, though (with bonus lighted cube possibly at some independent stores - not clear about availability since vinyl is delayed) Amazon US: http://amzn.to/1678bvg Amazon UK: http://amzn.to/1bNL0xK Deluxe CD (and iTunes deluxe download) - with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus two bonus tracks: Turned Out, Get Me Out Of Here (sticker mentions 2 bonus tracks, as well as 'New' and 'Queenie Eye' being the singles) (with bonus lighted cube at some independent stores - and FYE only if you arrive in person - can't pre-order online, but may have to reserve by phone - call ahead to be sure) Amazon US: http://amzn.to/GL8qWi Amazon UK: http://amzn.to/19Gr1K1 iTunes US: http://bit.ly/15AhdUf Target exclusive CD - with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus DVD (30 minutes, Canadian tour "Rendez-vous" interview), no bonus tracks http://tgt.biz/19ywhmN Best Buy exclusive CD - with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus 'album laminate' and photo cards (no longer lists badge)* http://bit.ly/187M5wx *Note that Best Buy is also selling the standard CD and the deluxe CD, and that their own exclusive CD has no bonus tracks as far as we can tell. Japanese CD - with 12 tracks, plus hidden track, plus three bonus tracks: Turned Out, Get Me Out Of Here, Struggle [looks like CD Japan is cheaper than Amazon.co.jp] CDJapan: http://bit.ly/15w2ZnB Amazon Japan: http://amzn.to/GTwTcK (Note: you can only get "Struggle" by buying the CD or official download, as opposed to an unofficial download, if you know what I mean.) There is NO Walmart exclusive CD. They have the standard CD and the deluxe CD, apparently at the cheapest prices of physical stores. ($14.88 for deluxe: http://www.walmart.com/ip/28997612)) For those interested in the color of the front cover artwork, it's definitely the orange/pink combo on the standard CD and LP, and it's definitely the blue/purple combo on the deluxe CD, and on the Target and Best Buy exclusive CDs (and apparently on the Japanese one).

Still not 100% sure, but leaning toward trying to find a store with the cube on Tuesday (perhaps FYE), and buying the deluxe version to get it. I wonder if there's anyone OUT THERE who will try to get all the different versions.
-
I was just on the phone with a NEW (haha) employee from FYE. He said 10-15 release date & also comes with a prize. I had already asked about the cube but he said again "prize". oh well...I am out of town & won't be here on the 15th. Need to try another store.

Well, isn't he coy!

Well, here we are, Sunday morning in the US eastern time zone and going through the Sunday newspaper and pulled out the Best Buy advert. In the available Tuesday category they have a little picture of the New album cover, with regular edition at $11.99 and deluxe edition priced at $15.99. Also it mentions Best Buy Exclusive, 6 postcards and art laminate but no indication if the extra goodies are included with either or both editions. I think Favoritething's buying guide (see above) indicates that these are only with the regular edition.

They are only in the Best Buy exclusive version. Best Buy is also selling the regular edition (with no goodies at all) and the deluxe (with the bonus tracks but no postcards or laminate). Each version has its own sticker, so it SHOULD be pretty clear in the store. On the Best Buy website, under Weekly Deals, and then under Music, their "NEW" exclusive is the first item. That's a positive sign!

You could have told him that YOU'RE a customer and you buy McCartney!!! Oh, I definitely want the cube! And I want the Deluxe version with the bonus cuts, but I think the regular 12-track version has the best cover color combination. What a quandary!!!!

I've been covering the album intensely since the rumors first started about it. This is my list of stories (about 40) that includes my full review of the album I posted Saturday. Hope you'll take a look. http://www.examiner.com/article/beatles-101-paul-mccartney-s-new-album-read-all-about-it

There's a lot to keep up with! I'm trying not to read any more reviews till after I hear it Tuesday, but I'm excited that the praise is pretty nearly unanimous.

Has everyone seen this on Paul's site? http://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news/27677-for-the-perfect-experience

Just heard "Early Days" on Breakfast with the Beatles. Liked it! Very touching and even a bit reminiscent of "Mother Nature's Son" at times (in my opinion, anyway). Can't wait for Tuesday!!

I'd say we're all set for the "perfect experience" here!

As soon as someone buys the Best Buy exclusive version, will you please post a picture of the postcards and laminate so I can see if that is a version I want to buy. Thanks a million.
-
Just heard 'Struggle' (Japanese exclusive track), THE REAL one, nothing to do with 'Scared'. Sounds like another Fireman track, not bad¡

Their flyer in the Sunday newspaper shows some very small thumbnail size photos of a few of the postcards, looks like Paul at the piano live, another view of him with arms outstretched, again probably a live shot from the Out There tour. Sorry, my scanner is messed up.

words for STRUGGLE Struggle (Begins with mid-tempo, rhythmic harmonium, which drives the entire song, then joined by xylophone) (the vocals alternate between falsetto and non-falsetto throughout song) Want to get you in my heart again Want to love you once more Want to have you in my heart again Want to get you once more If you wanna love, if you wanna fight Doesn?t really matter, I want you tonight (short, American Indian-esque chanting interlude, drums kick in) When I get you home, what I wanna do Babe, I wanna sample(?) everything with you Yes, I wanna love you, I don?t wanna fight I can think of something when I get you home tonight All I want is loving, anything will do I?m your glass of poison and I?m acting up on you If you wanna love, if you wanna fight Doesn?t really matter, I want you tonight (repeats) (Spoken like a preacher, or a Martin Luther King, Jr. speech) Yeah, you know what you got here You got the same old story happening again The eternal struggle, the destiny of man It?s the same old story, it?s happening again Life?s eternal struggle, the destiny of man If you wanna love, if you wanna fight It doesn?t really matter, I want you tonight All I want is love, anything will do I?m your glass of poison and I?m acting up on you (Spoken like a preacher) It?s the same old song Being sung in the background, being sung up front But, if you wanna get it right, you gotta listen Heed my words, listen to me! (xylophone breakdown, with humming from Paul) Anytime you want me, I?m not hard to find I can?t get your loving, I can?t get you off my mind If I need you sometime, you got me here right now We can work it out together, we?ll get through this somehow (sung with Paul ?preaching? over the top of it for remainder of song) It?s the same old story, it?s happening again Life?s eternal struggle, the destiny of man (repeats a few times, then ends with the line ?Life?s eternal struggle? a-capell

Just to say I'm excited about the release tomorrow. The 3 songs I've heard ("New", "Save Us" and "Anybody out there") have proved to be top notch songs. So a lot to look forward to. Think I'm going to stick on Please Please Me in a moment and think about this artists 50 year career- once the fading chord from A Day In The Life has ended.
