http://noisey.vice.com/blog/paul-mccartney-interview-2016Maybe a classical composer or arranger will string these together into an emoji opera. Nothing much would surprise me anymore, after he's spent the last year and a half working with Kanye and Rihanna and Lady Gaga, jamming with Taylor Swift, writing music for video games and animated films, and now for emojis. Hey, if it keeps him engaged and fresh, it's fine with me. Remember a year ago, when everyone was "a-flutter" over his shaky SNL performance? And then he had a hugely successful tour anyway? He always bounces back.
I don't think his shaky live tv performances can be compared to his touring. The song on SNL was bad. Usually is when he's on SNL. He is always better in concert.

I totally agree, but some people here were saying that maybe his voice was just gone and he should give it up.

He's not getting paid millions to play on TV shows. He gives his all in concert.

However, television performances are still the best promotional tool to create opportunities to earn millions. Anyway, judging by the 2012 Olympic thing, as well as last year's SNL debacle, Paul McCartney is not doing himself any favors with these tv gigs.

for those who did not see this interview in the Rusty thread, he mentions recording for "Paul's new album:" http://concertguidelive.com/2016/03/featured/rusty-anderson-afternoon-the-coach-house/ As a matter of fact, we?re going to be doing some recording coming up here soon for Paul?s new record.

Nice catch. Fingers crossed.

As I prefer Paul to work alone on his albums, this isn't particularly good news.
-
The new album will be called Social Media Disease. The cover will have a sick looking Twitter bird taking a dump on a dictionary.

Could disagree more. Paul's music is almost always more interesting when he's playing with other musicians.

Yeah, and it just means that Rusty (and I assume the rest of the guys) are backing Paul up.

Anyone see Paul's Tweet today? A five-second jumble of sounds with "McCartney" on it? We can't possibly have new material coming soon can we???

Maybe this is the surprise.
-
That would be...something If memory serves MAF came out rather unexpectedly too, although the 2003 sessions had been mentioned previously so the existence of unused material was known.
-
The voice definitely sounds like a young Paul, so I'm guessing a new compilation album titled "McCartney". Hope I'm wrong though.

The only things is Paul voice in that clip sounds like it's from the '70s. That leaves me stumped. I was thinking a compilation too. Maybe a remastered Wingspan I don't know how I feel about that though

Hmmm....

Anyway to post the Twitter clip? I found it, but it says "content not available" for me.
