Can't remember if Ringo did or not! Anybody?
Yes he did.
What was he talking about when he said it?
Not sure, Nancy...it may have been about the bands trip to Hamburg.
No, I think it was when they were talking about Brian and his accent. Paul mentions that Brian had a posh British accent (and that impressed them and so they trusted him) and they had a Liverpudlian accent and that is when Ringo starts talking in classic Liverpudlian speech...something like that, I think.

Looks like everyone, that saw the movie, had a great time! I know I did! For the ones that haven't seen it, you can still wait till November 2016 and get the DVD and Blu-Ray. Amazon is taking Pre-orders as we speak!

I just got back from seeing it. Guess I'll have to pre order that DVD. Man, it was awesome. the only new footage to me was George putting his ashes from his ciggie on John's hair and Paul encouraging it. but still, I loved seeing all the footage I fell in love with those decades ago up on the big screen while sitting in a recliner with some drink that has 4 times my alcohol limit (and I actually bought the drink in the theater rather then sneak it in) I loved the editing with the footage. it was very artfully done
-
The new footage (to everyone) was the Candlestick Park color (no sound) film that the woman had under her bed and had never developed! There were a few other snippets I'd never seen as well. It all went by so fast, will have to wait for the DVD to absorb it all!

Hi Kathryn O! How are you? I'm glad that you enjoyed the movie as well as having a strong drink while sitting on a recliner in the theater. That's what I did in the theater except drink alcohol. I sat on a nice recliner with my Girlfriend. Those waitresses in the theater treated everyone, us included, like Kings and Queens! I didn't even want to leave!

I already Per-ordered the DVD and Blu-Ray Deluxe's, I get the biggest feeling that you're going to the same!

Hello, back. The only problem I saw with the theater, I saw it at the Emagine in Royal Oak, MI. Now, Emagine theaters are huge complexes complete with bar, lounge, restaraunt and I hear a rumor of a bowling alley. The restroom is gigantic as well. I kept hearing the film was selling out so get tickets early and I did. I bought mine two days before. but the particular theater it was shown in seemed to fit only about 50 people. Maybe 75 tops. it was tiny. No wonder it sold out so quickly
-
My favorite quote in the movie was Whoopie talking about how she didn't see race when she fangirled over the Beatles. "Anyone can be a Beatles fan. It doesn't matter who you were". Yep. True message. Some need to understand that message a bit more

Yeah, just like Oprah, who wanted to marry Paul!

Yeah, my theater was the same. You could pick your seat ahead of time online, so I counted and there were 50 seats. But when I got there there were 5 theaters showing it, so about 250 seats, and I would say it was essentially sold out.

Wtf....it was showing in Royal Oak?! I live 10 miles east of there. I saw it (ultimately by myself ) in Ann Arbor last Thursday during the first viewing mainly because the Beatles website only showed the Michigan Theatre on Thursday to be the only theater and day showing it at the time of purchase. Thankfully I only work 16 miles from Ann Arbor. However seeing it with the Wife and cousins would have been more enjoyable on a Weekend close to home. I currently have a free trial of Hulu to watch it a couple of more times to fully appreciate it. I will admit the first viewing was a little underwhelming for someone whom has probably more Beatle film collections than most and presumably the director. Like I said I'll reserve the review for later.

Great film...saw it last Friday at AFI Silver...can't wait for more goodies on the DVD

The Bijou theater in San Antonio was the only theater (That I knew of) that was showing the movie. I know that on Thursday night alone, 5 shows sold out! Those theaters were big too!

[quote="SusyLuvsPaul"][quote="Nancy R"]You know how Paul is always "misremembering" things? Well, he didn't wear the suit in 1964. This photo is clearly from 1967. Here's the photo of him wearing the same jacket that really rings my chimes, it's sweet to see. And that sweet happy smile D And let me guess Susy, you want to marry Paul too!

Well now I need to post the 1964 pic so that no one will be confused. (It was posted way back in the thread.)
