The demo for "Back On My Feet" was just offered as a free download on the main website -really cool to hear this tune in it's raw, unfinished form! https://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news/back-on-my-feet-demo-exclusive-first-play
_________________________________________________________ Anthony, Just saw and heard your version (with your Brother and Dad) of Put It There. It was fantastic. Loved the harmonies. Looks like you have a great family. I loved your expressions as you were playing it. I could tell that all of you are real Macca fans. I wonder if Paul has ever seen your version. It might encourage him to do the song when he gets to the US in July. So much better than songs like I Want to be Your Man, Four-Five Seconds or Temporary Secretary.
______________________________________________________ Anthony, Have you guys ever done live intimate shows with the 3 of you. Earlier this year I saw a McCartney tribute band. They were good but basically they only played great Paul Beatle songs and Wings up to 1976. You guys could specialize on Solo Macca from Tug of War on. You could stay with the acoustic theme at small intimate venues. There are so many great songs you guys could do...Put It There, Early Days, Little Willow, Golden Earth Girl, Your Way, One of These Days, This One, Somedays, Heaven on a Sunday, Calico Skies etc. etc. You would be doing something that no one else does as far as a tribute show. Not only would I be in line to see you but I want to be your manager. I have no music talent but I am good at Marketing. Just kidding but I love you guys. Since Paul doesn't do his Solo Songs, you have a great niche just waiting for you.

BJ, thank you so much for the kind words, really appreciate that! I would absolutely love to see Paul perform "Put It There" live (as well as the other great songs you listed.) That is a really cool idea about doing acoustic arrangements of the lesser known Macca songs, definitely something worth exploring - could be a cool album project as well. We do perform live together occasionally (mostly in and around the NYC area, but we've done one-off travel dates together many times as well), but not very often, as we're all full-time musicians and pretty consistently on the road. When we do get a chance to perform together, it's usually as part of our dad's show - he's primarily a vocalist, but he fronts a big-band, specializing in the Great American Songbook, and paying tribute to artists like Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Tony Bennett, Sammy Davis Jr., Dean Martin, and so on. When we're in town, my brother and I play guitar and upright bass in the band, and then in the middle of the show we come out front and do a few acoustic numbers with our dad (sometimes we perform "This Boy", which goes over really well), so it's always a blast for us whenever we get to do that.

NICE! It is also on youtube.
_____________________________________________________________ Just saw the demo of Back on Your Feet on U-Tube. Love it and only wished Paul would have added this demo on Disc 2. As I was watching Back on my Feet on U-Tube the next song that came on was a different video version of Put It There. Paul's vocal was not the FITD album version but it also didn't appear to be the live version that came out on Tripping the Live Fantastic. It was close to the live version where it had the special section at the end but Paul's voice seemed better than the live version. That is what I meant a while back when I said I was disappointed there wasn't an audio only Disc 3 that had all the B-sides, Once upon a Long Ago and rare live versions from FITD. This version of Put It There was fantastic. Any comments if you saw this video of Put It There.
Was this the version you saw?
If so, that's from the "Put It There" Documentary, and I believe the footage is from rehearsals for the 89/90 World Tour. Agreed, a third disc with all of the b-sides and extras you mentioned would have been great. -

I would also love to hear/see the three of you doing "This Boy". In fact, I would like to hear all of you singing/playing a lot of Beatles, Wings and Solo Paul songs. I live in NJ for part of the year (late Summer and Fall usually) so please PM me if you guys are playing in the NY Metro area. I might be able to get there. Yes, that was the Put It There video I had seen on U-tube. Thanks for including it. As I said, its rare versions like these, I wished Paul would have made available in a reasonably priced 3 disc all- audio set (along with the B-Sides).

I have to say how much I'm still enjoying Flowers in the Dirt (the Remastered Album). I have a little ritual each morning. I drive to Dunkin Donuts (still hooked on their coffee). It is about a 10 minute drive and I still have FITD on my car CD player. It really gets me going for the day. I'm a little surprised I haven't gotten tired of it at this point. I'm now remembering how much I liked it back in 1989. My Daughter was about 8 at the time and we would sing many of the songs in the car. Over the years I hadn't really played it however (lost my original CD) so I had forgotten how good the album is to my ears. I don't, however, think it is the kind of album that immediately jumps out to the casual fan. For me, it grows on you. Maybe that is why FITD is not considered by many to be one Paul's best. I think the remaster is very good and while some critics say it is overproduced, I don't see it except for a little bit on How Many People and especially on Motor of Love. And I still scratch my head with the last track on the CD. With those exceptions, the production on the album in my opinion just enhances the individual songs. I really like the flow of the 1st 10 songs and for that that matter all the individual songs. I used to think the first 8 but I have gotten used to Paul's lead vocals on Don't Be Careless Love. Because Macca has so many voices, it took a little while and I now I really love the song. I remember the same thing with the Ram remaster. There were a couple of songs where I didn't care for Paul's vocals way back around 1972 (Smile Away and Monkberry Moon Delight in particular) but the remaster really changed my opinion. I'm hoping the reissues do continue. It's great for a fan when a remaster gets you back into an album. With FITD it has certainly been the case for this fan.. In retrospect, it should have been a masterpiece in my opinion (one of Paul's top 3) except for the last 2-3 tracks. I still scratch my head with the 3-4 terrific songs he left off of FITD but still a very good album on the whole. Many classic Macca songs in my opinion and songs that Paul should still be very proud of.

It's been in my car since the day it came out. I've had to have played it at least a dozen times through. I usually rip them to my iPod and put the CD away. But not this one. Still got it right there next to me. The Wings material is my favorite, but having something new and remastered by Paul from my generation reminds me of two things: three decades later, this still sounds good...and when they start remastering albums from my childhood, I know I'm no child anymore! lol.

Agreed. Back to the Egg and Red Rose Speedway are on the top of my list...and London Town is right there, too. There's still so much. I'd love to see a Broad Street blu-ray and album remaster, too. With Paul's new album next, and Sgt. Pepper 50, I think we're a good year to year and a half from the next remaster if we get one...and part of me thinks that'll be Flaming Pie.
-
I'm hoping that Wild Life & Red Rose Speedway will be next for release. Although I'm not expecting much material from the former album, there is so much audio & visual material available from that whole August 1971 to July 1973 era that a combined box-set would be a must have for any Wings fan.

Crack the yolk. That's the one I want. With a bit of Pom Town. Underrated albums, both of them.
-
Paul said in his Q&A at Budokan that he doesn't know what the next reissue is going to be. "I don't know, they don't tell me" we're his words. Makes me wonder if they're still continuing with the archive series since he signed on with Capitol.
-
I'm guessing Off the Ground is next since it's missing from iTunes

Oh dear.
-
Off the Ground is still available on iTunes here in the UK. If they were going to release an Archive Edition of that album, then you would think that they would have released it in tandem with Flowers in the Dirt due to the commonalities between the two albums, as was the case with McCartney / McCartney II and Tug of War / Pipes of Peace for instance. It was actually remastered and re-released on Hear Music just as a straight forward 'bare bones' edition around four or five years ago. It would be nice if Off the Ground did receive the Archive treatment though - I personally think it's a much underrated album, and there is plenty of bonus material that resulted from the recording of it. I hope Flowers won't be the last of these sets. The presentation of all ten has been outstanding, and they really do sound as good as they ever have.

I checked US iTunes and OTG is there as well

I'm in Japan and recently found a double CD version over here, nothing I didn't have already, but nice to get a special edition available only to the Japanese. I've always appreciated OTG, not his best, just average, some good tracks.
