Let It Be / Get Back (the movie)

Someone pointed out a quote they said came from John Lennon saying the Let It Be movie was all f##$ing Paul.
So a group of friends would joke that we were going to see "all fooking Paul" and we pictured it on the marque or at the ticket window. It was good for a laugh and was a good inside joke among us.
We used the word "fooking" not the real word. This made it more amusing for us way back when.
🤪
Oh well.... this was just to add some nonsense and fun for no other reason than it came to my thoughts out of the blue.
That is so funny!
(John I guess didn’t realize how many songs Paul wrote that of course were filmed for the movie!)

Wasn't their biggest failure the film, "Magical Mystery Tour?"

If the man can sit through 55 hours of film and be inspired, God be with him. I look forward to the finished product. But wouldn't he be re-editing the film rather than "directing " it?

Looks like we get the best of both. We'll get a high-tech, restored new documentary that I'm sure will focus much more on the positives. Then we'll get the original as well. Can't complain at all here.

I'd rather have the 55 hours...UNCUT!

Today is also the 50th anniversary of the concert on the Apple rooftop. The very last time The Beatles played live. Very appropriate to announce this today!

I’m quite sure that’s why they did it today!

My friend Jennifer saw him in Chicago at the Fest For Beatles Fans and got his book. She said it’s really good.

When I first heard about this new Peter Jackson venture, I did somersaults of joy. Which, given my middle-aged body, wasn't such a good thing. Ouch! I landed on something I shouldn't have, that I do know (no, I don't know what that means, either).
That being said, this is HUGE for us Beatles fans. I can hardly................ wait.
Mind you, I too would rather the 55 hours uncut, rather than the movie.
But still, this is just great news!
Brilliant!
I am stoked.

Yeah, they'll cut out all the juicy parts!

Since there's so much footage.. (how many hours did Paul say they have, 56? someone correct me if I'm wrong).. why don't Paul & Ringo just do another Anthology type of tv series, and use the footage in various episodes? It would be like watching The Beatles in a reality show, lol, only from 1969. The very last episode could be the rooftop concert.  I'm sure it would do great in the ratings. It's only a question of how much time it would take to edit it all into episodes... that would probably take a long time, and be all-consuming and take a huge production team to put it all together.
I just read article in NY Post the other day regarding the 50th anniversary of the rooftop concert. The article said the concert on the roof was actually 43 min but it was cut down to 21 minutes for the film.

Here's the article, an interview with director Michael Lindsay-Hogg.
