Anybody who still gets a newspaper, check out today's Pearls Before Swine!

Cute! (The "Mutts" strip often has Beatles references, too. I've cut out quite a few.) For those without an actual paper: http://www.gocomics.com/pearlsbeforeswine

I did read it this morning. Pretty cute. They were also in the Jumble last week....Paul & John were writing songs and the answer was "comparing notes". I still read the newspaper every morning with my cuppa coffee. Can't start the day without it.

I saw that one too, but could only solve 3 out of the 4 words! Even after I saw the 4th word I couldn't come up with the answer!

"Pearls......" just did a good one (very lengthy) on John lennon's "Imagine"...on Sunday, June 26, 2022. My favorite is the White Album reference from a few years ago.

I guess Stephan Pastis is a Beatles fan.

Most definitely!

@bruce-m That's a bonus....that he seems a real fan of The Beatles. Pearls Before Swine is one of the few comics I actually look at in the newspaper. That one and....Pickles, Red and Rover, Frank and Earnest, WUMO, Rhymes With Orange, Speed Bump, and...The still Great Classic Peanuts. And I just never get tired of Snoopy (and the Round Headed kid that feeds him!)

My favorite comic is Lio. My local paper in Hilo doesn't carry it, so I look at it online every day. It does get a bit morbid at times.

I used to read Lio. I stopped getting the paper a long time ago though. In Atlanta, you can’t see it online unless you have a subscription.

Love that Stephen Pastis incorporates The Beatles in so many of his Pearls Before Swine comic strips, most are very, very clever. This one, while funny, is one of his weaker and way too obvious tributes. But....love that he does the band quite frequently.
