I would figure on more US Dates in October...maybe into November. Then, more EUropean dates (maybe not necessarily UK) spanning the end of November into December, preceeding those announced today.
Hope you are right. Seems logical, but seems to be some are saying just go to Canada. Wish it were that easy! I haven’t completely ruled it out, but time is ticking on passports and my husband can’t find his birth certificate. Ugh!!!!
I can't swing any of the Canadian dates with scheduling. I'd love to visit up there (and hear Mull of Kintyre!!!) even moreso for Liverpool...ugh. Nevertheless, I noticed in the press release for the Canadian dates, they refer to ACL as his only "North American Festival appearance" implying that more North American dates would be coming...however, NOrth America is Canada too.

so far, not the slightest sign of any coming

It's a figure of eight......
Go for the Canadian dates, or wait for some US dates to pop up.....
what do do, what to do....
But, as BG says, don't wait for a better opportunity, dates are limited...

See, sometimes it's all in the timing of when you talk to your friends. I figured Nov/Dec but I think we will see more coming.
More UK dates?
Things moving fast and furious. Guess we are back to piecemeal announcements.
We were spoiled with the way last year's tour was announced. It does indeed seem like we're back to a few shows at a time.

I wish I had the luxury of selecting but as of now, I physically cannot attend any of the nine shows (including ACL) that are announced. I have no choice but to wait. Based on the past, I find it to be abnormal from artistic, financial, and personal viewpoints as to why he would come into the states for a festival in Texas, leave two months wide open, and not make a few other stops around the country while here.

Or it could just mean only FESTIVAL appearance, since he's already missed most of them anyway.

Hey Liz (Calico Skies) any chance of merging this thread into the Freshen Up 2018 Tour thread? Thanks.

Maybe he still has something up his sleeve. Fingers crossed.

Just for fun, I checked for dates that are open for The Sprint Center, in Kansas City... there are still several openings from September 1 to the end of the year that haven't been booked or announced yet... if you want to check your local arena, might be interesting to see if there's similar dates open... (I know this is probably pointless and silly, lol, but at least it's something to do while we're waiting or hoping, lol... and gives a small ray of hope an event can still be scheduled... ) If he does do any gigs in the US this year, I imagine it wouldn't be very many (less than 10) .... and he'd probably have them centrally located in different geographic regions...
Sprint Center (Kansas City)... open (or unannounced) dates....Fall/Winter 2018
Sept 2-10
Sept 12-13
Sept 22-26
Sept 28-Oct 5
Oct 7-12
Oct 14-17
Oct 19-Nov 1
Nov 5-Nov 16
Nov 21-23
Nov 25-Dec 9
Dec 11-22 (Paul will be in the UK for concerts)

Checked local Texas venues the week between ACL shows.
Houston Area
Toyota Center in Houston is wide open. (Capacity 18,000)
NRG Park/Astrodome in Houston is open Oct. 8-12 (Capacity 60,000)
Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in The Woodlands is open every day but the 12th that week (Capacity 16,000)
Dallas/Fort Worth Area:
American Airlines Center in Dallas is open Oct. 10-12 (Capacity 20,000)
Starplex Pavilion in Dallas is wide open (Capacity 20,000)
AT&T Stadium/Cowboys Stadium in Arlington is wide open (Capacity 80,000)
I personally see San Antonio as too close to Austin, same market. I also doubt he'll be doing stadiums this year. The other thing I could see happening is a surprise ACL Live (TV Show) appearance in between weekends, which also check off the small show box (the theater seats around 5,000).

I noticed the Canidian shows only list pre-sale date. The UK shows list pre-sale date and sales to general public date....

The Ticketmaster app shows the public on sale date for all the Canadian shows is Friday, July 13.
-
And the Canadian shows just say Presale Tickets, whereas the U.K. shows also say VIP Tickets. Why is that? No VIP in Canada?
-
If you go to ticketmaster and pull up the Canadian shows, you'll see there will be an AMEX presale and VIP tickets available at the same time. No prices or details are listed yet for VIP, or anything else for that matter...

Finally decided on Quebec City and Montreal for myself. This will be my first true tour opener show. I've been to many "leg" openers. Leaning on doing ACL as well if that is the only US date.

Do you think he won't perform a bunch of dates in the states this time, because Donald Drumpf is Prez? (might be a dumb question? Sorry)

still hopeful for Milwaukee? Story today about the new arena's block party in August, says:
The team is expected to announce other grand opening events, including a major concert, soon. Those events are expected to be held between the Aug. 26 celebration and the Sept. 13 performance by comic Kevin Hart.
The weekend of Sept. 8 might still be plausible. He interspersed US and Canadian shows in 2013.

Thinking about calling on Monday inquiring about Milwaukee Bucks season tickets and asking btw who is the opening concert I love Milwaukee
