Botched, as far as historical accuracy, although if Paul/Ringo/Yoko/Olivia wanted the best possible mixes out there representing them, then I suppose it's more of a success. Hey, maybe I should get it after all, just for the Special Delivery!
Only if the delivery guy is cute!
Actually, he sort of was!! You know, a guy in a "uniform" and all that, and he was very polite!! He turned and waved as he walked back to his car!
I ended up buying some childrens encyclopedia-type books from this guy selling door-to-door one summer in the late '80's because he was so cute and was wearing shorts! (side note: I actually did have 3 year old twins at the time, so I wasn't completely insane!)

Sounds reasonable to me.

Picked up three of these new CDs today (Hard Day's Night, Yesterday and Today, Hey Jude)...the place where I bought these in Boston (Newbury Comics) had a 'buy two DCs, get a 3rd one free' sale...and on top of that, any purchase of these new Beatle releases came with a nice tote bag with the same image as you see on the Beatles new Live at the BBC CDs as well as a nice poster/photo...will post pics later if any Boston area fans are interested in running to this store,,, The one I was at (Fanuel Hall) only had the three titles I mentioned above... Funny thing is that I had completely forgotten that I had bought the Capital Albums box set Vol 1 a number of years ago...so in reality, I now have 7 US Beatles albums...although I gather from the recent discussions in this thread that the mixes in the Capital Albums box set are different than the brand new releases of the same albums...Not sure I care too much about that and will continue to periodically purchase any remaining ones I don't have, based on the 4 in the box set and the 3 I bought today

Good info! Thanks, I may yet break down and get those three plus "Revolver."

You might consider buying the Capitol Albums, Vol 2. Think it's still available. Contains the American versions of Early Beatles, Beatles VI, Help and Rubber Soul. You really won't be sorry. Listening to some different song mixes is quite interesting. You may not care that much about that....but you might. At some point. Give a fresh listen to your Capitol Albums, Vol 1 and notice how the songs have more "punch"!

On the Billboard 200 chart this week, this boxed set enters at #48. A bunch of individual titles also hit the charts: Hey Jude - 72 Yesterday And Today - 74 A Hard Day's Night - 102 Revolver - 143 Rubber Soul - 170 Meet The Beatles! - 171 And the "1" compilation shoots up to number 84. All the TV and other media coverage should keep these selling for the next few weeks anyway.

If somebody would have predicted in 1964 that The Beatles would have 8 places on the U.S. music charts in 2014, they would have said he was certifiably crazy! That's just unreal!

This week "1" moved up to 74, while everything else, including the boxed set, dropped off except "Hey Jude" at 191.

I can't believe what happened here at the Beatles 50th Anniversary celebration in Cancun. They had a raffle (free) for us of the boxed set (well, not boxed--it was all the albums except The Beatles Story) and I won the raffle!! I already have TBS on vinyl and was going to eventually buy the boxed set (it is on my Amazon Wish List) Then my friends Jennifer & Gail both won t-shirts. They're going to raffle off the albums separately later this week.

Very nice! Prizes, Beatley people, 85 degree weather...remind me...why am I here in below zero weather working?

And over on iTunes, the "1" collection is #29. Kids say, "Just gimme the big hits," I guess.
