A Big Thank You From PaulMcCartney.com

I might add that when the first of us signed up as 'Pioneer' members we were promised that even if our premium membership stopped we would be Pioneers for life. - I didn't realize that PM.com's idea of 'life' was different to mine!
Right you are!!! I was hyper-ventilating with shaking hands rushing to become a pioneer member due to the promise we would be pioneers for life and that we would be rewarded in some undisclosed way for being "amongst the first by whom the new is tried". It now appears that what we were led to believe was an instrument to bait us into being part of a test group and really nothing more. How very disappointing if that is true. I know that for many of us scraping up the $ right before Christmas was difficult but our undying support of Paul drove us to beg, steal, borrow, and scrounge up the $ to be in that first group of members. I enjoyed all aspects of the site and just kept patiently waiting for some of the glitches to get ironed out. I also luved the membership package (those badges and guitar plectrum were terrific). I actually pre-ordered Paul's upcoming DVD as soon as I was able to so I will have a physical copy and do not require a download of it or a physical copy. I feel saddened by the decision to pull the plug on the enhanced site and I would like to know why the decision was made. I hope a similar decision will not bring down this wonderful BBS!!!
you've said what I feel about the whole thing

I've taken a few days to consider this. This whole thing is a step backwards. OK so you didn't want to continue with the 'premium' membership, but why scrap membership altogether. I have never really felt that as a Premium member (and Pioneer for that matter) that we have got much in return for our money. We were promised much and got very little. The start of the slippery slope was when premium memberships were given away with RAM! I might add that when the first of us signed up as 'Pioneer' members we were promised that even if our premium membership stopped we would be Pioneers for life. - I didn't realize that PM.com's idea of 'life' was different to mine! I can only hope that the current sight is a stop gap to something more sensational! I am not a fan of digital downloads, I much prefer a physical product. Any chance of a voucher for the value of the download off the DVD or Bluray for those who would prefer it? Hope the other 'goodies' are worth the wait!
I propose Paul does a concert just for the pioneermembers
I don't agree. It should be for all premium members... if he does so :

I'm glad it's going to be free again

I thought we were promised the premium membership would last for a year after the Beta version of the site became live? I feel really cheated as I hadn't had a chance to look at half of the premium membership items due to computer problems. Having been royally ripped off for front row and sound check tickets (last two seats right at the end of the row so could hardly even see Paul during the concert), then paying mega bucks for premium membership in the same month last year, I'm beginning to feel I must go and have my head examined for falling for it time and time again. A very sad and disillusioned life-long (46 years so far) fan.

Fantastic idea! Would we get flights, accommodation and spending money too??

I'd be up for a YouTube performance from Paul and his band -- similar to the Secret Website Show -- via a private link sent only to Premium Members. Then, of course, everybody else could see it the next day. Oh... ...and it HAS to be live.

I know Paul is practicing for the next tour in North America so you can share a practice with us... Live And then Paul could do something like this:
Just premium... -

Hello Today is Nov 6, 2012 and deafening silence continues from the MPL, Inc. powers that be. I am posting regarding the $50.00 i sent in response to their offer of a premium membership, not three months ago. No membership material of any kind and now access to the site is defunct. I have posted before that i couldn't believe Paul Mccartney would simply take my hard earned money and walk away, but its beginning to look that way. Many here have said that Paul must not know about this. But it is his responsibility to know - its his good name thats at stake. the only thing that will make this right is a selection of packages (t-shirt, guitar picks, posters, cds that a die hard fan would want, lithograph, vinyl, book, something like the Ram deluxe issue). Or make the package even better, charge more money and provide a $50.00 credit. What would happen at a PM concert if i were to lean over the merchandise table, grab $50.00 worth and simply walk away? Whats the difference here? I have decided I am not going to walk away. Its the principle and the money. every day that goes by without any type of announcement is another insult. This is not something "unfortunate" - its illegal. I just wanted to be a fan, not get into the "Sue me, Sue You Blues". God bless Paul McCartney and thanks for all the wonderful music and joy he and his friends have brought into my life. I have to keep believing that love and truth are not just lyrics in his songs.

Give 'em a little more time.

If Paul did a concert, as people are suggesting, for only Pioneer members (weren't there 1,000?), where could it be held that would be considered fair to all? The same question applies if it was opened up to all Premium members. Surely not enough opted for Premium membership to sell out a stadium... That, in my opinion, is why that idea appears to be a non-starter.

The Secret Website Show had no audience. We're suggesting a live, online streamcast of a performance by Paul and his band... anywhere ... something for the fans and those who feel they've been "ripped off." I'm not married to the Premium-members-only idea, but it would definitely be a nice way to make up with those who feel cheated -- especially those who'd bought premium accounts in the recent past.

I am a Pioneer (Premium) member and I'm #1014. We speculated earlier that the lowest numbers were reserved for Paul's special friends (who knows how many)

I rather suspect your taking it too seriously frankly

I'm not a pioneer so I don't like the idea. Maybe a concert to Premium members in VIP seats and the rest for fans who weren't premium. I'd pay a plane ticket to go if he gave us free tickets Talking seriously I liked my idea x)

just catching up on the subject..I just joined in mid september and kind of liked the goodies sent...i used the membership to get tickets to Vancouver (row 2 on the floor, so im happy about that!) but having just joined in September, I feel ripped off and they must have known the Premium was going to be cancelled, but they took my money Im like others; I do not like Kisses at all...i like the idea of a store credit to use our refund.. Overall, this situation stinks...

I've just finished reading this whole thread after I took my emails from last week and to say I'm pissed and stunned and shocked would be an understatement. You even ruined the election night as I couldn't stop reading all the comments on this thread. I'll take time to calm myself and write all I'm thinking about this in a coherent and polite way. Now I really shouldn't have checked my emails tonight...

And still no answer from the "people in charge". Should I be a little bit more patient or am I right to think they don't give a damn about us ?? Pioneer my ass...

I am actually in Indiana, US and I am going to ST LOUIS for the concert ( I had to buy tickets from a resale website because the pre sale was only for the hot packages and the day that ticket master was opened to the public , was imposible buy 3 sites together in a few seconds before they are not avalaible...well...) I think they should to give us 2 choices, for example 1 autograph of Paul or change our seat in a concert for a premium seat, bacause a concert special for us sounds impossible, not everybody could travel ...
