Paul McCartney 2014 Rumors
-
here's a bad video of the arrival - Paul not even seen until about 2:00 in when he passes the person filming, and the "robot" with handler (ala War Horse style) following him seen at about 2:03-ish...

I think people have read too much into that quote over the past few months. He was asked by a German journalist if he were going to tour in Germany, so of course he was not going to risk distancing himself from his fanbase there by completely ruling it out. He was mostly just being nice, but no definite plans for a big European tour or anything.
Very much true, it was nothing more than a diplomatic correct answer. Although he always says "we will see" or "maybe" when someone asks him - for example in those web chats - very irregular places to visit.

Is Europe going through a financial crisis at the moment?
Which place in the world isn't at the moment? But it was just as bad when he did tour over here. Plus he will always have a sold-out house in the arenas he does over here anyway.

What if Candlestick is the last show?
Sorry if this has already been answered, but are there any solid rumors about surprises for the Candlestick show? I've heard the Ringo/Dodger Stadium rumor and am trying to figure out if I should try to do that show as well as Candlestick or if potential surprises in San Francisco will be enough. I can't imagine that his last show of the US tour and the last ever concert at Candlestick will be the same as every other stop on the tour.
-
For what it's worth, in this new interview with Japansese radio(?) Paul says the Budokan show will be quite different from the rest of the shows on the tour. Paul's interview starts at around 8 minutes:

I'm not sure of any surprises in store at Candlestick, but, personally, the draw for me in terms of going is the big historical nature of the show itself. I couldn't imagine myself missing it!

Thanks! I am going to candlestick and also Nashville and Salt Lake City just a week before, but I'm trying to figure out if I will be kicking myself if I miss LA too. It doesn't really work with my schedule but I'll probably end up talking myself into it. Thanks again for responding!

video about the robot & which song it's for...

I really need to know if Paul is adding any more dates. It doesn't seem like he's added anything in a long time. I check back every day. I want to know if I should buy tickets now or keep waiting for my hometown. What does Paul have against Philly? I just know that if I buy tickets to some other place, with my luck, Philly will be announced the next day. If anybody has any info on whether he's adding any more tour dates at all, please tell me!
-
It does not look like any more US dates will be announced for this tour.
-
why don't you check the rumor thread. I don't think he'll be adding any shows.

He has nothing against Philly, but like the above two posters said, there won't be any more U.S. dates added.
-
Still, it's good to know so I know I should buy tickets soon! Thanks! Hoping for Candlestick

No Philly show this year....I'm thinking next year, just my guess.

Ha! So he'll be doing "Appreciate" after all, and it's a video!
-
Paul has just released a very interesting 6-minute video for "Appreciate". I like it a lot:
Lucky Japanese fans, who will watch it being performed live! -
I love it! Very Bowie'esque.
-
Very cool. I wonder if they noticed in 2 spots they must have flipped the film because Paul's hair is parted on the wrong side! One time is at 3:42.
